My husband and I have been to travinia more than 15 times. This is our go-to date night, holidays, special occasion place! We are always satisfied with the food and service. Staff is always very friendly and the food is always delicious. We typically go on Wednesdays because the happy hour can't be beat! My husband and I love the kamikazeberry & blood orange martini. If you're looking for something a little stronger, they have a delicious blackberry bramble! My husband almost always gets their veal piccata or the short rib rigatoni. I am a huge fan of the fettuccini and the Creme Brulee. On Wednesday, they offer martinis half off all night. The happy hour menu never disappoints. The menu price point isn't exorbitant either, which just overall adds to the appeal! If you're looking for a cozy place to sit, they have an adorable outdoor area with fire tables. The village leesburg also allows you to walk around with your alcoholic beverages, which is pretty nice. If you don't finish your beverage at the table, ask your waiter for a to go cup! **Update 5/1** Went to Travinia last night for a late night drink and had a great time. My peach Sangria was delicious. Service was fast, staff was kind, & we will definitely be back!

Updating as of our most recent visit. Unfortunately, we had more issues with food being correct. The interactions we had with the hostess also felt awkward when we placed our reservation and when we walked in. The restaurant was less than half full, and we asked for a booth. However, we were told they only seat larger groups, but we saw groups of three in multiple booths. Just not a good second experience, so I'm not sure if we'll be back soon. Travinia is a great, local Italian restaurant with great food! We started off with the fried calamari, but we weren't a huge fan because it wasn't fried to a great consistency; it ended up being much chewier than expected. My wife got the carbonara and I got the chicken parmesan, and we both loved our dishes. Unfortunately, our waiter had a slight hiccup and gave her a different dish than she ordered, but it was quickly remedied and the entree was taken off the bill. The interior design did feel a bit outdated relative to the atmosphere. The vibe of the restaurant feels like it should be suited to more updated finishes. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our meal, barring the mistake and the calamari.

I ordered dinner tonight through Door Dash from Travinia. First, I ordered extra bread and did not receive it. The pieces we got that came with our meal were burned and hard to even bite into. I ordered 2 filets, both medium. My son’s actually came medium, while mine came rare and had a very strange smell to it. I could only eat a couple bites before deciding it was too gross to eat. I even had my son and his girlfriend come up to take a look at it, and they immediately smelled the steak and said “What the hell is that smell?” I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager. The vibe I got was that she felt I was just trying to complain about my meal, period, which was not the case whatsoever. She said they ran out of bread which was why we got the bread we did, and didn’t receive the extra bread. Ok, so shouldn’t I have been notified of that instead of just charging me and having it delivered without it? She also said there was nothing she could do about things since I had ordered through Door Dash and would need to contact them for a refund. I’m sitting here hoping I do not end up with food poisoning from that steak!

We've been to Travinia numerous times and have always had a good experience, until lastnight (09/11/2020).

We arrived for our 6:30 reservation and we were seated promptly considering the social distancing requirements. Our server came and took our drink orders, everything seemed to be going well. Upon her return, she lost control of the tray full of cocktails all over me. I was soaking wet from my neck past my waist and had pieces of glass all over me. My phone was soaked too which I am going to have checked to see if the water damage indicator was tripped.

She quickly apologized and ran off to get towels and I headed off to the men's room to try and dry off. Upon my return, a manager was assisting in the cleanup and asked if we needed anything. Upon seeing me he said he would take care of my dry cleaning bill if necessary, which I declined because it wasn't needed. He also offered compensation should my phone be damaged. About 10 minites or so later we were back at the table again with fresh drinks. We placed our order and proceeded through dinner.

The drinks were good, the food was good, but the kicker was at the end. Mind you, I sat through the entire meal soggy and smelling like a Blood Orange Cosmo (most of what was spilled on me). The manager never once came by to check on us. There was absolutely no concern once he made his original appearance.

Our check came and we assumed that, as a courtesy since staff had basically ruined the evening for the 4 of us, something would have been done to our check...wrong! We brought this to the attention of our server who then went back to the manager and roughly 10 minutes later she brought back a "revised" check which had our drinks (3) removed. Wow! That definitely makes up for me sitting there soaking wet all night. That definitely makes up for the manager never returning to the table to check on us throughout our visit. I've never experienced such a lack of concern and it was the nail in the coffin for us returning. If Travinia doesn't care about the guest experience, why should we bother returning. It's worth noting that from a visual perspective because we could see their interaction, when our server was speaking to the manager about this, he seemed visibly frustrated or annoyed about it.

So, if you like management that can't be bothered with checking on guests that have had a bad experience, or if you like sitting through dinner covered in alcohol, uncomfortable, and sticky then Travinia Italian Kitchen is the place to go. We will...

First time at this location for an early dinner.

First approach as it was around 3-4 pm. Noone was at the "hostess" center and when a lady in a pink shirt came up, she asked in a way that was like, what was I there for? It was not a great introduction. Made it awkward and for myself almost a deal breaker as I'm obviously there for food/drink? I don't know, normally people ask how many in your party and would you like a seat inside/ outside/ at the bar etc... advise fixing this in my personal opinion. Maybe it wasn't her job and she was mad someone was lacking?

I usually regret going out and getting spaghetti and meatballs as I'm usually disappointed by lackluster flavor/ seasoning and over or under cooked noodles however the food experience made up for the awkward first encounter.

Food This was different, which was nice. The spaghetti was well made with a well seasoned overall dish with two large meatballs. Was filling and tasted good throughout. Bread to start was great. I ended up eating it all. Side Guda Mac n cheese. If you get this, please let it cool off and mix it with the liquid so that it reattached to the noodles. Although the first bite was a little hot and not much flavor. Letting it cool solved that, and it ended up being very good overall

Sweet tea was also made well, I like a little sweeter, but most will love it.

Both of the items I got I usually regret getting, but for once, this place made it right, and I couldn't have been more pleased.

Also, kudos to the waiter for the outside seats as he did everything right, and overall demeanor was upbeat.

I'd recommend this location for the food and peaceful outdoor...

First let me say I'm not a complainer and usually I only take the time to write good reviews. Second let me say that the food was DELICIOUS. However my experience at Travinia was definitely NOT a good one and I would NOT go back. I went to dinner with several friends on a Saturday night. We did have reservations and were seated upon arrival...that's about when the wheels came off. The service was terribly slow, the first wine glasses that game to the table were warm, the second set were filthy....marked with fingerprints and goodness knows what else (didn't wipe off with a napkin!). They took my flatware after the appetizers, then brought me a salad and walked off leaving me with no utensils to eat with! After repeated requests for additional flatware we finally got some. Our group ordered wine (white) which took FOREVER to get to the table and then it was warm! Just getting our water glasses refilled was an ordeal. The whole experience was just not enjoyable, AT ALL!

I certainly don't blame our waiter. While he seemed a bit out of it I believe he was just totally overwhelmed with being responsible for too many tables (the place was packed). He apologized repeatedly for the slow service. I do place blame for a lousy experience, dirty glasses and slow service squarely on the shoulders of the management. In defense of the management they did not charge us for the wine (3 bottles) and 8 desserts...but that is NO WAY to run a restaurant!

Hopefully the management of Travinia will "up their game" as the place has potential, but for me I'll never know since I won't...
