Drove 6 hours for an event tonight. Our event was scheduled from 8-11pm. By 9pm the staff stop serving and starting closing. They stated group who booked the event we were at went over capacity. There was never a doorman from the staff. This was an event attended by adults and their UK students. It certainly seems the bar under staffed and took this student organization money to rent the venue and did not hold up their contract or try to let the event happen. Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at The Grove in downtown Lexington on August 31st. During a small gathering, the staff really seemed disengaged and almost bothered by the presence of customers. One busboy clearly didn’t want to be there, and one of the bartenders looked right through me as if I didn’t exist. It was the first time I’ve ever felt the need to skip leaving a tip.
