Jump & Jack's — Attraction in Liberty Township

So I have mixed feelings about this place. I'll go over the negative and the positive. I think the last time I was there was over 20 years ago. It has aged and it shows. The equipment has not been updated, very worn, and ripped. The decorations on the walls and toys on the wall are very worn, dirty, and missing pieces. Everything from the equipment, toys, lighting, and tables was dusty or worn. The family bathroom was out of order. The women's was dirty with towels on the floor, soap built up on the wall and floor, and out of toilet paper. The locks were broken and had new ones added on. The men's (my husband said) smelled bad. The floors and carpets hadn't been swept in quite some time by the looks of it. The electrical equipment for the projector ( I assume) was set on the floor with years of dust on it where everyone could reach it. The tables were dirty with food on them and dishes. The food and drinks were overpriced (2.50 for a bottle of water, 3.00 for a soft drink). When we arrived there was no one up front to greet you but they had a make-shift sign to come in and pay. There were no liability waivers to sign or sign in at all. Just pay and play. The under 2 area gate was broken. And again everything is worn or broken. Definitely, no sanitizing goes on here as I saw a buildup of dirt and grime on most of the toys. Even though there were signs about rules and expectations, there was no enforcement or supervision of any equipment. There may have been 2 employees I saw the entire time and they were teenagers possibly young 20s. It was very dark in the entire building. Also, a safety issue I noticed is the door connecting the entrance stays open and is accessible from the back play area. This means any child could slip out the door due to darkness and no blockage it's essentially an open door from the play area and front door. Extension cords were lying out and not plugged in. I was in the climbing area with my 1-year-old as my 5-year-old played. Some areas were somewhat scary. Near the dinosaurs, there was a dip in the floor. The curtains were tied up with themselves or zip ties. Now to the silver lining of the review. If you were an 80s or 90s baby this was the normal scene and no one blinked twice at this. As I am a 90s baby I can remember many places looking this way and we never cared. We had fun and it was affordable. This is an indoor park, eat and play at your own risk (in my opinion). Not saying there is anything wrong with this. Not everyone can afford to go to other places costing 20 to 30 a head to enter and extra for games etc. A sign-in and waiver form setup. I would expect to see more cleanliness going on at least. Wiping down, clean bathrooms, thick dust blanket-free areas. Safety re-evaluated from loose cords, electronic equipment, and exits. Seems like an easy target for lawsuits. I have nothing against aged or dated. I think it's great places like this still exist price-wise. It wouldn't take much to make this place more inviting. Please turn on some lighting! Just needs some TLC by the employees. It wasn't overly busy for a Tuesday evening either. Plenty of time to not be standing around. I would return but be aware if you are a germaphobe this may not be the place for you. This isn't a 5-star business by any means but it...

We have visited jump n jacks many times in the last 4 years (mostly due to lack of other local options for my very young children). After our experience this past Saturday, I have decided we will not be back indefinitely. The things I don’t like: not as clean as it could be (I’ve seen much cleaner indoor play places), needs to be updated and repainted (needs to be made a priority), needs to be deep cleaned on a regular basis, needs more staff who are well trained and welcoming (this past Saturday I approached the counter three times and was completely IGNORED by two staff workers!) managerial staff: don’t be afraid to hire more employees and take the time to give quality training to employees. I highly recommend this place to have a security team/security guards on the weekends. I have twice seen altercations close to getting physical between parents and I am shocked at the lack of class and immaturity parents show in front of their children and other children, not to mention potential danger. This past Saturday I was actually SCARED. needs to have a strict policy on cleanliness of outside property, as well as drug free/smoke free property — I have seen the outside property heavily littered before, and while it’s not the fault of the staff or manager, it just shows the crowd that this place attracts — people need to stop littering so I suggest a sign out in the front to help manage that if possible. I have smelled weed in the parking lot multiple times and that should have been the first red flag for me before I entered the building. I have been uncomfortable countless times due to much older kids and parents going up on the play set — there’s too many hidden spots where I could not see my kids. I really dislike that. Needs to have cleaner bathrooms and more accommodations for guests (a place for moms to nurse their babies, etc).

Why we have continued to come back on occasion: Due to lack of options that are close to home, The indoor playground places we do like, have extremely limited hours or are not close by enough, so we come here because jump n jacks has later hours. They offer hot food to order, so that’s a great convenience. The projection with play mat is a favorite of my kids.

I do hope jump n jacks makes some serious changes and reforms (even if it means raising the prices for admission a little), and maybe we would consider coming back in the future once we know that it is clean, has security, and much much much more friendly and...

Ok so we took our nugget on January 29th. We thought it was a great experience because his mom got to go with him through the slides and climbing. Everyone on that side was wearing a mask, including myself and my daughter and yes even some children. Seen the employees cleaning seemed like every 15 minutes on that side. So after about 45 minutes, we decided to take him to the toddler area, to see if he would make friends. While in the toddler area a my daughter goes in with him, my daughter is wearing a mask, because let's face it, she's not playing and the policy says if you're not playing, eating or drinking you must wear a mask. So while we are in the toddler area a mother of 2 kids that didn't have a mask on kept coughing and sneezing while talking to someone I guess she knew, she was NOT wearing a mask, she wasn't playing with her child. She was talking while holding her child. So we leave that area and go back to the sliding area and that's where we finished out his play. I would like to say out of the 2 hours we was there, NOT one person, disinfected the toddler area! NOT one person told the mother that was just sitting there that she should wear a mask. These toddlers was playing on toys that have been sneezed and coughed on by an adult that did NOT wear a mask. So fast forward to Feb 1, just a couple of days, and my grandson is running a high grade fever 104.9. He was taken to the doctor he has a virus in his chest, NOT COVID, but a viral infection in his chest. So for 3 days my grandson was very sick and I think this could've all been avoided if people would wear a mask. And if people would disinfect high touched surfaces, including toys. We actually thought we found a place to bring our baby to have fun and he did on the slide area, which as I stated it was being cleaned regularly. And I hope to bring him back to that area again. But we will NOT let him go in the toddler area and also, the next time I see someone NOT wearing a mask while the rules says they need to, you can bet I am and will say something. As far as jump and jack's. We hope you can correct the disinfectant of the toddler toys and we hope you can get grown people to wear a mask.
