This place is a great concept! Sports bar vibes but family friendly! Inside has a massive screen for sporting events and then smaller screens throughout. Theres multiple levels and lots of food and beverage options. And while this is very much a "spend however much you want" type of place, it is definitely not cheap. To feed an adult an actual dinner, it will be at least $15. If you want to add in drinks or alcoholic beverages its even more. It's 50 cents an ounce for the pour it yourself beer. Kind of cool so you can explore different types of beer without waiting at the bar each time, but also ends up being a little risky because its pretty easy to just walk up and get another. Average meal cost for an adult was $15, soft drinks were $3. There is a QR code you can order some of the places through or you can go to the window. Some windows have just the main register while others also offer a tablet for you to order yourself.
Outside was spectacular to sit with kids. Its faux grass so it does get very dirty if you have crawlers/little ones without shoes. We were able to move chairs around so we could form as small or big of a group as needed. To the right side of the building are sand volleyball courts. A little further back behind the building is a corn hole, ping pong and I believe fooseball. There was also a large sandbox for kids BUT I dont recommend it as there were 0 parents watching their kids when I went and the kids there were just throwing sand every direction and it was getting all over people and in eyes.
Bathrooms were great, plenty of stalls and sinks. They did run out of paper towel when I was there but I simply told an employee and moments later they were restocking them.
Parking is a mess. The main lot is so small, especially for the size of the building. We noticed a lot of people parking at Lakota east and walking over. We did notice a handful of handicap spots up front and the first level is definitely accessible for wheelchairs. Though the bathroom and side entrances you'd need assistance...
Read moreLiberty Collective in Liberty Township has a beautiful open-air design and a fun atmosphere, but unfortunately my recent experience left me pretty disappointed.
Cons: The open-air concept is great on nice Ohio weather days, but it also means there are flies everywhere. We saw flies inside the restaurants and all over the dining areas.
Food and drinks are very inconsistent. I visited with 4 friends, and even when we ordered the same items, they looked and tasted different. Portion sizes at the BBQ restaurant varied a lot, and even the lattes and cocktails from the bar were completely different depending on who made them.
Cleanliness was a major concern. At the BBQ restaurant, we saw the staff member touching food with bare hands, handling money, scratching her head, and then continuing to serve food without gloves or handwashing. To make matters worse, another customer’s fries were returned, and instead of remaking them, the cook simply picked through the food and re-served it.
Pros: The ice cream shop was the highlight — delicious flavors, generous samples, and very friendly staff.
Bartenders were fantastic — fun, engaging, and really added to the experience.
The overall vibe of Liberty Collective is inviting, with volleyball courts and a setup that could make it a great place to hang out with friends.
Future Concerns: Given its location next to Lakota East High School, I worry Liberty Collective could quickly become a hang-out spot for students during the school year. Other local restaurants have struggled with large groups of teenagers driving away paying customers, so hopefully management is prepared.
Overall: Liberty Collective has a lot of potential with its unique design and fun concept, but major improvements are needed in food consistency, cleanliness, and operations. Since they just opened, I’ll give them time to work out the issues, but for now my rating is 2 stars. I plan to return in a few months to see if things...
Read moreThe look and facility 5 starts. The food... Two is generous. My husband and I ordered from 3 different places.
The chicken tenders we ordered were SMALL, like kids meal small. The fries that came with it were cold.
The second restaurant was the Mexican place. We got a quesadilla, which by itself was pretty good. The veggies were well cooked. However, the guac served with it was terrible, it tasted like chemicals. The sour cream was so warm it was basically milk consistency.
The third restaurant was the hibachi place. We got hibachi chicken with fried rice. If you're picky about chicken quality, this isn't the place to go it was chewy and low quality. The veggies here were good also bit the portion size was less than 1/4 cup.
We both got an ice cream at the end. I got one scoop of vanilla with a cookie and my husband got a shake. $20.
He had one beer and I had a spiked lemonade.
In all we spent $100 on low quality food. I had such high hopes. We will go again but will probably just try the pizza as it looked really good. We will also go to enjoy the environment but...
