Smoothie King — Restaurant in Liberty Township

I went to this smoothie king on Monday 3-3 at 11am. I ordered the peanut power plus straw smoothie which I’ve been getting at various locations including this one for quite some time. I guess management has changed at this location since I’ve been in there so this was my first time back at this location with this new manager, the smoothie that I get I get it all the time so I know how it taste. This one was made by the manager and it literally tasted like she had dumped half a jar of peanut butter in this smoothie because that’s all I tasted. It was an oversaturation of peanut butter. She tells me oh that’s just the way it taste me knowing that that’s not true. I simply said OK and asked her to make me something else so I asked for the strawberry Hulk That smoothie was so runny The texture and taste was nothing like I ever have had before. And I have had the Hulk Smoothie plenty of times, So I simply threw it in the trash after I left out of the building. I called back the next day, asked to speak to the manager and proceeded to explain what happened, Well, that was the manager that answered the phone so I begin to explain to her. What happened. She got very upset and said I’m the manager. You don’t tell me how to do my job and hung up the phone so I’m gonna follow up with the owner if I could first and then I’m gonna reach out to corporate because if this owner has a manager that does not know how to follow the chart on when you’re making people smoothies He’s got a major problem on his hands. I have seen corporate take franchises back from franchise owners when they have a problem that they allow to continue on in there stores, but I will be in touch with corporate and I’m gonna try to reach out to...

I went to smoothie king the other day about an hour before close. On any given night there should NEVER be only 1 employee working! That is extremely unsafe and should be unacceptable. Instead of going home to enjoy my smoothie and unwind watching movies I felt compelled to stay to make sure the only employee on was safe and some creep didn’t come and try something. The girl working was extremely friendly, gave me great recommendations (I’ll have to go back for the chocolate peanut butter smoothie) and did an amazing job. The manager or owner needs to go in to help when people are sick, call off or just don’t show. That’s unacceptable that any employee, let alone a young teenager, closes the store alone and I’m sure they aren’t getting a pay bump to be a closer either! The store looked clean but I had a very eerie feeling and I felt unsafe for the worker on. If my kid was alone in a store after it gets dark I would not allow them to work there. Just shows that management clearly isn’t up to the title if they aren’t correctly staffing the store or covering for the people who call off. I stopped in before my appointment next door at Mercy intending to buy a large smoothie. I asked the guy about something I can look at to c the nutrition information for their items. He wasn't able to provide it. I'm insulin dependent and need to know what the total amount of carbohydrate is in what I'm about to ingest so I know how much insulin to take. A big chain place like this is supposed to have that information immediately available and it should b provided upon request. The employee basically just said they don't have it end of story so I walked out and called the corporate office to let them know about my experience with their business. I'll probably never walk into any Smoothie King...
