I have had some mixed interactions with them as I have used them for most high school dances and small bouquets for family and friends. However I have never been wowed by them and my most interaction has left me with an awful feeling for this business. My daughter most recently order flowers for me through an online company that gave D'Agee florist the order. They had not updated their hours to reflect that they would be off on Mother's Day, as they of course should be in order to be able to celebrate with their loved ones as well. My daughter gave them my contact info instead of hers (assuming so if they delivery had any issues they could reach me) someone at D'Agee called and left a message to let me know they wouldn't be able to deliver on Mother's Day. (Mind you we are two weeks from Mother's Day) I was confused since I didn't order flowers for myself, still no big deal. When I called back to understand what was going on the woman who left the message got INSTANTLY defensive and rude instead of just apologizing. (I'm assuming since she ruined the surprise) asked for my daughter's phone number and then told me to just act like I never got the call and to act surprised. I understand things happen and honestly would have just laughed it off and pretended that it never happened except when the employee made me feel like it was my fault. Totally POOR customer service for sure. I am totally for supporting local businesses but in this case I'd suggest using Hy-Vee floral...
Read moreI'm sorry but I have to leave a comment on the review that stated she had a bad experience because she requested mint green ribbon, REALLY! ! I'm a former floral shop owner, and I really don't understand, because in my experience (trust me) when you got outside and seen it's a different shade of green is weird because #1 if it's that serious for you you would have had a swatch or something to match with the ribbon when being orded... so #2 when you say you went back in and nicely asked for white or the color of green, I don't think you were nice ... I bet you were dramatic.....and acted like the world was ending because you brought the price up, so you went in all entitled and rude because heaven forbid you spend 30 some dollars for flowers.... and even if she was huffy, that is someone's artwork so maybe they just reacted because they felt horrible. .... but to really go on the edge and comment negatively over something petty is hard on a business especially a local one... so I get iritated when you bash something like that . Because word of mouth is the best publicity... and you should have asked for a manager or owner and I'm sure they would have taken care of you..but you chose to be a keyboard warrior. ... maybe next time get the color you need with a match and...
Read moreDue to unforeseen circumstances we had to place the order for our flowers for our wedding only two weeks before the event.
We paid $600 for 1 bridal bouquet and 3 bridesmaid bouquets, 4 groomsman boutonnieres and 2 wedding floral arrangements.
When we received our bouquets they were not even cut right and we’re not tied with material or ribbon and were in dingy water, (I had to scramble around to use the tulle material that i I had purchased to make the ribbons for our sanctuary, and wrap that around the bouquets) the shape of the white Roses were less than desirable as they had brown around the edges and some of the small red Roses were already wilting. Plus there was hardly any baby’s breath in the bridal bouquet. It was the same with the bridesmaid bouquets. Then the flowers for the wedding ceremony were only white Roses with burgundy ribbon. I had wanted white Roses and white calla lilies... actual wedding flowers.
I’ve lived in liberty all my life and we’ve ALWAYS given D’Agee’s our business but I think I’m going to have to think twice and maybe go to HyVee floral now. What we received was most certainly NOT worth $600. I am just praying that these bouquets don’t ruin my wedding pictures! I will be less than...
