This place has THEE WORST experience when it comes to doing right by the customer. I joined the Lilburn location in August 2021, a month later I decided I wanted to cancel my membership. I told the white woman at the receptionist desk (not sure of her name) that I wanted to cancel. She said they need a 30 day notice before canceling the membership. I said okay, mind you this was like the end of September at this point and they’d already charged my card for September. So I asked the lady, “I’m not goin to get charged next month right?” She said “no, but bc we already charged you for September you can just come until the end of October.” Fast forward to the end of December, I check my transactions and they’ve CHARGED ME FOR 3 Months! Oct, Nov., and Dec. So I call—-No answer 🙄 Then I decided to go up there, bc you know, apparently my access is still valid to get in. -_- So I talked to the Caucasian woman again, and told her that I cancelled my membership back in September but that they are still charging me, she told me that bc her system was down, she wouldn’t be able to even check to look up my profile. I asked if I’d be able to get a refund for the months they charged me and she said that they have an outside billing dept that handles that..(That was convenient right?) so I then ask, will she follow up with me and give me a call or will the “billing dept” call me. It’s almost February and I still have heard nothing from the or her. I definitely called my bank and told them to refuse any further charges from these people. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE🚮🚮🚮 UPDATE I filed a complaint with the BBB on 1/25/22 and I got a call from the gym the following day. They said they would get me my reversal before the end of the month. So if you haven’t heard from them, I’d suggest filing a complaint as well with the BBB and seeing what happens. UPDATE the day after I submitted my complaint to the BBB I received a call from Debbie 1/26/22 and she said that my payment hadn’t gone thru. I told her I’d spoken to her months ago about canceling my membership and she said someone named Fiona would handle it and that I should receive a reimbursement before/by February 1——it’s now February 11 and still nothing has been deposited FROM them TO my account. Im not sure what the next steps are but this place is a sham. DO NOT SIGN UP...
Read moreI have been coming to this location on and off for four years now. This gym is one of the best in Gwinnett
When I come here I don't get bothered by other humans. This is not a spot to dress up for attention. This is a spot to pay attention to yourself. It is more of a spot for seasoned individuals to appreciate the more complex machines.
The sauna is built for the devil himself. I can only stay there for a few moments at a time. Maybe because it's open 24/7. -no complaints about that. It is one of the largest saunas in all of Gwinnett and all the gyms (you know I reviewed them all)
There are about two similar machines in some variation to target the same muscle. So if someone is on the double leg quad extensions you can just hop over to the single leg quad machine.
Two private bathrooms with showers and the usual men and women's locker with showers as well.
The water fountains work The treadmills have a few OOO but this isn't a spot where all the treadmills will be used at 6pm you can always get one.
The front desk guys are alright they are usually the owners or trainers so it's more relaxed than an LA fitness where they will be down your throat with the fake corporate crap.
This location is opened 24/7 the night workouts are extraordinary. Very calm and you are able to superset. From 6-11pm it can be a bit of a young crowd. 7am-4pm has a more mature vibe. You will see some of the same people here for years at the same time everyday. It's that type of spot. To access at night you need to buy the access card. From what I understand the cards work at all the locations.
Overall if you tryna be cute .. maybe not the spot for you. But if you're trying to lift and develop and focus only on you then this spot is for you. Five stars.
I do not have the traditional membership so I cannot speak to...
Read morePros: -Good gym to go to if you hate how busy other gyms can be during peak time. -Has a lot of the same equipment as LA fitness -Cheaper than most gyms per month
Cons: -The upkeep of the gym is below average. It’s not very clean in general. Most of the equipment has visible grime/dust/dirt/old sweat sweat marks on it so you can tell the staff doesn’t maintain it. It only gets cleaned if the guests wipe it down. Machine seats/chairs have a lot of rips and cracks in them. -During the peak of Covid, often times there were no bottles of cleaner, or paper towels, available to wipe down the equipment. Same for hand sanitizer. Sometimes it would be out for 2-3 days at a time (so I always brought my own) -Doesn’t have enough light dumbbells (1-2 sets of 5lb dumbbells, no 10lb or 15 lb dumbbells). Once gym equipment disappears it’s never replaced -Doesn’t have any ropes (or enough accessories on general) for the pulley machines (also had to buy and bring my own) -The WORST of all, is trying to cancel your membership. They do everything in their power to keep taking your money (be prepared to receive a runaround). They got an additional $80 out of us because they wouldn’t stop charging us after we went in person and formally canceled. And then told us about some BS 30 day notice (that we realized wasn’t in our contracts so we ended up paying an additional $40) Still got charged 2 months in a row (and they didn’t refund it). Also, they don’t care to ask why you’re ending your membership - red flag. My husband and I had to call our bank and tell them not to push anything else through from this business. This isn’t a one off thing either. PLEASE CHECK THE OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GET...
