well. i just moved here and was looking for a local package store, not QT. as we all know, liquor sales are different wherever you go, but this place was the worst experience yet in 8 mos. of my stay here. 1. the manager appears suicidal. just really NOT into his job. he told me he doesn't drink. really. i asked for a local beer and he could not find it. the beers for that brewery were all over the store in different places. he said wait a minute i'll check in the back. nothing. he said he'd order some right away. several trips in, over several more weeks, still no restock. 2. the first available beer i brought up to the cashier, could not be found on their system. it was either misidentified, or something in their system. i put it back and got another. same thing. i picked a third, noting the bar code row ID was the same as the beer i was holding. sometimes stuff just gets out of place. the cashier was able to ring it up, but it was identified incorrectly on the receipt i noticed later, and i also got charged .50 less than the marked price. how do they stay in business at all? i would also consider their wine selection poor. the store is physically big, why no wine? then i noticed there wasn't much stock of anything, spirits, beer, etc. also, hard to get to on a divided highway. i'll keep trying but the store has been renamed to " area 51 "...
Read moreThe older gentleman at the register who I assume was the owner, an Indian man that appeared to be in his 40s/50s, was extremely rude to me.
Firstly, me walking in the store was met with his disinterest and refusal to look up and acknowledge a (new) customer.
Secondly, as I approached the register to checkout, I politely greeted him and he purposefully ignored me once again and then proceeded with the transaction.
Very rude, unprofessional and flat-out distasteful behavior of a man well into his old age to be exhibiting.
Which he knew himself was wrong as he resentfully huffed out a contemptuous greeting back to me moments later. I guess an attempt to now treat another human being with decency and respect? But failing to do so by way of his need to immaturely and passively communicate disdain.
At 40/50 years old one should know better. You should be ashamed of yourself. Especially given that your hostile behavior truly felt prejudicial/discriminatory.
Keep it up and see...
Read moreI drove four hours because I spoke to someone and was told the store had 8 bottle of Blanton’s. When I checked out I was told I could only buy one bottle. I bought several bottles of liquors for over $130 each. I asked could my other family member to buy a bottle and was told that could not happen. I would not have been upset if I was told over the phone that it was a one bottle minimum. I wasted my time coming here! This should be NO STARS… And the manager Refused to give me the owners number… I have a feeling that because I was a black female that I shouldn’t know what Blanton’s is. If you know...
