One of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. I went there to get a couple packs of ramen, which the total didn’t exceed $5, and then I went to check out I tried to pay with apple pay when the lady told me “we don’t accept that payment if it’s under $10” so I asked why and she informed me they get charged some fee for processing that payment when the total is under $10. So I said ok I have my card and went to put it in when she said in a rude and snarky tone “we don’t accept any form of card if it’s under $10” so i responded with our only option is to pay cash? She said yes and told me they don’t have an ATM so she told me to go to the next door mexican market and use their ATM which minimum withdrawal is $20. Frustrated I didn’t withdraw cash and did not return to the asian market. First off, their website never mentions anything regarding their payment acceptions and furthermore they have no signage in the building indicating this. The thing that got me the most was the cashiers attitude towards me for trying to pay with card when she never initially mentioned that it is ALL forms of card, physical or digital. I understand they are a small business but their system needs to be updated to accept these payments in smaller portions to keep up with modern times. Absolutely unacceptable employee behavior and professionalism and I will not be returning...
Read moreEasily my favorite Asian market in Lincoln. Relatively large and very well-organized with friendly staff.
Great prices on produce compared to other grocery stores (sugar snap peas, Persian cucumbers, shallots, etc are less expensive) and they often have things you can't find elsewhere (e.g., kumquats, Fresno peppers, certain kinds of mushrooms).
Great selection of items from rice to frozen dumplings to cooking utensils for great prices. There is a huge variety packed into a moderately large store that is generally well labeled and organized. Sometimes you have to look a bit to find the prices (or ask), but the staff has been very friendly and helpful any time I needed anything.
Some items are located in multiple parts of the store (e.g., soy sauce), because a lot of it is organized by origin/cuisine, so if you aren't picky about specific brands it's worth looking around a bit.
There is a $10 minimum for credit card transactions, but if you spend more than a certain amount ($100 I believe) you get a coupon for $10 off your...
Read moreI went to return (on Sept. 19, 2024) the banana bread (that tastes horrible) I got off the shelf and the lady at the cash register says "but it's opened". No where on the receipt does it say an opened item can't be returned. She calls over a male employee (possibly owner) and he was very nasty and rude. He angrily says the same its opened and I told him read the receipt and for future purposes to fix the return clause on his receipt if they don't want to do refunds. I then told him that he can keep the money and just let me exchange it to make things easier and he says no because I might return that too. I took the refund and will not be returning to that store. They are not customer service friendly at all yet your customers are what keeps you open. I hope more people wake up and realize the way those people are. It's not the first time I've heard they are...
