Bedford Camera & Video — Attraction in Little Rock

Our experiences with Bedford Camera & Video in Little Rock, AR have always been very pleasant. I have to say that our latest visit on Black Friday, November 23, 2018, topped all previous times. Not only was it extremely pleasant, it was very informative and most enjoyable.

We went in to check on the Black Friday sales and to get some more information on the Nikon D850. We were fortunate enough to have Kathy White assist us. From past conversations, we knew she was the sales person for us. She gave us her undivided attention. Kathy is very knowledgeable in the working of each camera and the ability to show you the comparisons between each brand of camera or each specific kind of camera within the same brand. She has a way of putting you at ease making the hardest questions seem easy by breaking them down and explaining them until you are intelligently informed. Kathy was professional but friendly and considerate. I was pleased that she was concerned with my wife’s comfort since she has difficulty standing for long periods of time.

We did purchase the Nikon D850 along with some of the essential accessories for the type of photographing that we will be doing. The Black Friday sales afforded us to get more than we had anticipated that we would be able to get going in. I would highly recommend that another in need of any sort of photograph equipment or supplies to shop at Bedford Camera & Video in Little Rock, AR. You won’t be disappointed! Exceptional Service for Novice Photographers!

I had the pleasure of visiting Bedford Camera and Video today, and I cannot sing their praises enough! As a complete novice in the realm of photography, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, but the team at Bedford made my experience nothing short of exceptional.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff members were incredibly helpful, patient, and welcoming throughout my entire visit. I brought in two photography fossils - my Nikon D2x and Nikon F3 - and they were more than happy to assist me in understanding these cameras inside and out.

What truly impressed me was their willingness to walk me through every step of the process. They provided invaluable insights and tips, ensuring that I left feeling confident in handling both cameras. I even had the opportunity to snap some pictures this evening, thanks to their encouragement, which truly boosted my confidence.

It was evident that the Bedford crew not only loves what they do but also genuinely cares about their customers' experiences. Today, they played the role of archeologists, digging deep into the world of "vintage" photography alongside me, and I couldn't be more grateful.

First the good: The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. They have great events, and are genuinely interested in helping you get the right camera and ensuring that you can use it well.

Now the stuff I have to deduct stars for: The location is simply horrible. There are almost no parking spots near the store that do not have signs warning that you will be towed. They closed a vastly superior location in North Little Rock with great parking when they opened several other stores in Northwest Arkansas.

The store has a very strong Nikon bias, which is fine if you are a Nikon shooter (they make great cameras), but if you shoot another brand, you will find their selection lacking.

It's especially difficult for a Sony shooter like myself to justify the drive out to their only remaining Central Arkansas location, only to find that the lens or camera you want is not in stock, and they don't know when or if it will be, or that the equipment is in a far away store and can be shipped to the store in a few days if you want to pay for it in advance. There are too many good online dealers who can quickly and simply ship the equipment directly to my home and save me a 45 mile round trip.

Again, if you are a Nikon shooter, and you live in central or west Little Rock, this is definitely the store for you. I would love to be able to do business with them, but it's just not...
