Live Oak Swimming Pool — Attraction in Live Oak

This was our first time at the Live Oak Pool. It is very pretty, looks either new or well-maintained. It is nicely arranged, with plenty of seating under shade, which is good, since it's rather expensive. $5 a-piece for out-of-towners (and that is cash only, mind you.) We checked out the vending machines during one of the required breaks (kids have to get out for 15 min ever hour) but the machines only accepted dollar bills. I had a five, leftover from admission, and the gal at the entrance said she wasn't allowed to give change. So... no snacks for us. My 8-yo really enjoyed the slide, despite being unfairly yelled at many times. The lifeguards each had different rules for the slide, and one in particular was ordering the children around angrily. There were no diving boards, so my 13-yo was fairly bored. We left after someone vomited in the pool, which required a 30-minute break,...

BEAUTIFUL facility, including crystal clear, clean pools, plenty of shade, comfortable outdoor lounging, WONDERFUL staff and lifeguards who are CONSTANTLY attending to their areas ensuring the utmost safety while maintaining excellent report with patrons, especially children!!! I was especially impressed with the fact that the moment I entered the "kiddie pool" area with my 3 year old granddaughter, a lifeguard entered for duty in that area, even though I was in the pool with her!

I had an awesome time with my kids here. I was visiting a friend in Converse and the pool at their place was closed. So I googled swimming pools near me and found this pool. I have had great memories this summer with my kids and this place was one of them. It was clean and had several lifeguards watching out for all of us. The slide they have is tons of fun and good for all ages.Not to mention the 10 or 15 minute ADULT TIME. They clear the pool and allow just the adults in to enjoy the pool without having to keep a watchful eye over the kids. Imagine that the adults got a break ...lol. You should definitely check this...
