Sukhumvit 77 — Restaurant in Live Oak

my son and I have been waiting 16 months for Sukhumvit 77 to finally open and we definitely weren’t disappointed. Starting with the staff who politely, yet quickly greeted and seated us. Then took our drink order while giving us our menus. The decor is simple, yet very elegant especially the chandeliers and the wall lights. Definitely can tell they are like the owner Valana who is just as beautiful and stunning. She came to our table a few times through out our time there checking on us and spending time with all her customers. She is an amazing woman who you can tell she really cares. When they brought my son his appetizer, it smelled delicious and looked great. Shortly afterwards our food came to the table , not only did it look beautiful plated, but plentiful. The taste was fantastic and delicious. Afterwards Valana brought over a complimentary dessert of coconut ice cream and sweet sticky rice for him to try and it was delicious. I was visiting my sister and her girls in the San Antonio area and I had the privilege to eat at Sukhumvit 77. Living in Houston for most of my adult life, I have had plenty of Thai food but nothing like Sukhimvit 77! We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees of which we all shared because it was just that good. So good, we had no time for pictures AND had to leave a review (something I do not do often)!

I was impressed that the fried appetizers did not feel greasy or make me ‘regret’ eating it. The tofu Pad Thai was perfectly created to satisfy all our tastebuds with no regrets of eating ‘too much’ feeling. The vegan soup was hot leaving you feeling cleansed and fully satisfied. The curry was perfectly spiced leaving you to wanting more!!! With my sensitive gut, there was NO negative side effect, that usually occurs when eating out. The high quality of the meats and vegetables did not go unnoticed!

Tonight we had the pleasure of dining at a delightful restaurant that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere, complemented by the exceptional hospitality of the staff.

The food was nothing short of amazing! Each dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The custard and bread, which were served by accident, turned out to be a delightful surprise that we couldn't get enough of. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection, while the clay pot rice noodles with beef were a comforting dish that left us wanting more. The crab spring rolls were a highlight as well, offering a perfect blend of crunch and flavor.
