Columbia Factory Store — Attraction in Livermore

Found out today that if you buy a damaged product here that you are not allowed to return it per store policy. Not sure if that is truly store policy or if the manager at the time made it up. Bought a jacket here on Monday and found the inner jacket’s elastic was broken upon closer inspections at home. Made the trek back out to Livermore the following Tuesday (8 days later) to exchange it but it was already sold out. I asked for a refund instead and told them it was because it came damaged. To my dismay they refused the refund because the jacket was damaged!!! Do not buy anything from here unless you examine closely. Poor quality products made and returns not allowed. Waste of my time.

Update: emailed the address provided below. Was told district manager would be notified and follow up. Still no follow up...

Selection is somewhat limited, since it is mostly last year's leftovers, off-season goods, unpopular sizes, & odd colors. Not many gloves and accessories when I was there in late January.

Great place for a hiking shirt, vest, or fleece jacket. Cheaper than REI.

Somewhat hard to find a matching 'outfit' there. There is no sensible order to clothes, other than sorting them by Mens/Womens/Kids/Shoes. Need to look all over and go to several Columbia stores to find the 'Diamond in the Rough', like when I bought a new ski outfit last year.

This time, I was hoping to replace my burgandy Columbia gloves that matched my ski jacket (the palm fabric was 'shedding' off), but they only had a dozen or so adult size gloves, and mostly XL Mens. Ended up at Big 5 with black...

Columbia Factory Store in San Francisco Premium Outlets are right in the center location near Nike, Under Armour, Off 5th, and Bloomingdale’s Outlet Store. The location is excellent, and the store is huge. They carried most of Columbia and the related brand's products at lower prices than the retail stores. But lots of the items were made for the outlet stores. They’re different than the retail items. The store is usually busy when I am there on the weekends. The customer service is generally pretty decent. They will have a few salespeople there to help, and the cashier counters are...
