Super Mercado — Attraction in Livonia

Happy to have found a local market that stocks products I need for Cuban / Puerto Rican dishes as well as som Hispanic dishes that I make- Saves me a trip to Westland ( although my WL fave still have the best street tacos)- it truly reminded me of the small bodegas in our neighborhood when I was a child. I was hoping to find more of a selection of fruits and veggies- peppers- but definitely as far as needing beans, spices, seasonings, salsa, hot sauce they definitely had a selection- THANK YOU!

I think street tacos are very subjective in preparation, seasonings, the cilantro, the onion even the corn tortilla- I have never gone to one authentic Mexican place and received the same type of street taco, which I wouldn’t expect to and I love that. These for me were hit/miss me- I had a steak and the Birria- my husband had a chicken and a steak- we both liked the steak and I liked birria -

Unfortunately the cilantro on our tacos wasn’t fresh so we didn’t get that nice vibrant flavor that can come through with fresh cilantro- and it effects the flavor…my husband thought the chicken was a little on the dry side and not as flavorful as the steak- they give you an option of a mild or hot salsa. Our preference is Valentina so we just put that on when we got home.😄We we’re full after two tacos ( even after removing one layer of tortilla) they fill the tortilla with meat so the price is very fair-

if I don’t feel like driving to a couple of my favorite places in Westland definitely I would come...

Just a store full of junk. Total rip off. Watch out for the girl, she’ll overcharge you. Check your receipt. I just bought tortillas that were $1.69 and $1.89 and she charged me $5.77. I said that’s too much and she “realized “ she had double-charged me for one of the two packages. The total was still too much. She wouldn’t lower the price. She charged me $2.39 for tortillas that were marked $1.89 and said that was an old price. I showed her the sign on the case and she went over and just ripped the piece of paperin half, taking the old price down. I said she still had to honor the price that was advertised and she walked away. This is my first and will be my last visit here. UPDATE- Extended new store now has a little taco dine in area. Weekend HAND MADE TORTILLAS!! Tacos are delicious! Super stoked we have this market here, mostly because its close to my home. Moved here from California where we can find Mexican markets on every corner.

This small market is fully stocked with everything i needed to make my families traditional xmas dish- Posole and red oil salsa.

Even my fav clensing tea, which has been really hard to find.

Very helpful and kind staff.
