Sushi cafe, Cathay Coast and and Essex bagels are phenomenal local businesses.

The Boston Market is great

The check cashing place is almost definitely some sort of front. They advertise having a notary who is never there and they never have enough money to cash a check, don't waste your time . The pharmacy is outrageously overpriced and infuriating that it's even there as it's like the 5th in a half mile radius. We didn't need them and they just take up space, close early, and are a major ripoff considering there's a rite aid just up the hill.

Nice smallish strip mall on Essex street that has some good stores. I get my haircuts at Supercuts and eat at Boston market occasionally. Good chinese takeaway at Cathay Coast. The restaurant was dirty. All of the machines read "Package needs to be changed". The server was rude and impatient. Don't go to this location go to the other one near route 4....
