DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They don't deserve a 1 star! Buying my appliances from Appliance Factory has been a horrible compilation of experiences and I will never go there again. After over 4 weeks I finally received most of my appliances - however the installation still hasn't been completed! The first range was defective and was 1/2 black stainless and 1/2 stainless (top half of the stove was from a different stove). The 2nd stove was delivered defective and the control panel didn't work. The 3rd stove hopefully is the charm. It took over 3 weeks to get the dishwasher hooked up after it sat in the kitchen for over 2 weeks. The delivery charges are outrageous and then you are charged an extra $25 because the delivery men had to walk up a 1/2 flight of stairs. THEN the delivery crew expected a tip EVERYTIME and they were there 5 TIMES (he kept pointing at the tip line and even said, here is where you put the tip)!
Customer service at the store is extremely unhelpful and trying to schedule the delivery is a pain in the ass. Who doesn't have to work and can be available 5 different times for 2-hour windows?? - RIDICULOUS. I will never go to this store again and am telling everyone I know to avoid it at all costs. I planned on purchasing a washer and dryer from there too but decided against it because of how unqualified and inept everyone is there. I went to home depot instead, got the same price for the same set, which also included FREE delivery, and everything was super smooth.
UPDATE - We found out that the splice for the water supply for the refrigerator/freezer was assembled on the HOT water, instead of cold. WE PAID $100 for that. Everyone we have dealt with at this store, especially the manager Mike and the sales rep Sean is 100% incompetent. I received a feedback request via email where I described the nightmare of dealing with this store and Mike called me immediately to "make things right". He scheduled to have someone correct the water supply for the refrigerator/freezer to come from the cold-water pipe (instead of the hot). The technician shows up this morning and DOESN'T have the necessary parts or supplies to correct it! AGAIN - we reorganized our day to make sure that someone would be home! And IT STILL ISN'T completed! DO...
Read moreOur new dishwasher leaked and was missing brackets to mount to the counter. Terrible customer service and missing essential parts has been a nightmare!!! I bought a double-wide GE fridge there a year ago. Works and looks great. Totally different sales team back then. Last Saturday bought a matching GE dishwasher that they said I could get money back, if I found a better deal later on. Well, got the unit home. Had a local repair man install the unit. It looked great and was very quite, except it started shooting water out the side (bad seal or unit might have been a defect.) Called the store they told me to call 800-GE CARES. GE told me to take it back to the store because it hadn't been 48 hours since the purchase. Store Manager Matthew came out to my truck to help take it off and said, "Wait, found a dent." It was dark and I didn't see it. I've ask two other people to find it and they couldn't. Unit cost $695, but Matt said he'd only give me $540. You can imagine my displeasure. Told him to give me my receipt back and that I'd never buy another appliance from those theives. Said he'd call me the next day to see if there was something he could do for me. He never called me. So, I called him at 3 p.m. He said he was just getting to it. He supplier or district manager was worse than he was. Said the money they wanted to charge me was a "re-stocking" fee. I realize folks can get a good deal on appliances there. But shop somewhere that is trusted. Home Depot had the same unit for a dollar less, as a matter of fact. This store will not accept returned appliances. They think the liability rests with the manufacturer and through the warranty. Very sleezy salesmanship!!! I've been in retail sales for years. If you return the item usually within 24 to 48 hours the store must handle the return. Time to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Can't wait to see what their sites says about them. According to the BBB: Problems with Product / Service147 (in the last 12 to 48 months). Go someplace where they have a guaranteed return policy. This place sells blemished products, used/returned, and probably...
Read moreResponse to Manager, Mr. Graham: The letter may have been drafted on 1/24, but it was not stamped until 2/12, and it wasn't postmarked until 2/13. Furthermore, 1/24 was either the day they called me or the day after. I told them I thought I had paid for it on a separate transaction but needed to check my credit card to verify. I verified with my credit cards the following Saturday 1/26 and came in to pay my bill. The threat letter should never have been sent. Your company did not even have legal grounds to sue (or make threat of suit) by the time the letter was sent. A threat is a threat. Just because it came from an attorney doesn't make any less of a threat, and it's only legal if the party making the threat has legal rights to follow through. Be careful how you treat people. I've worked in collections, and even when someone doesn't want to pay their bill, you will still get further with kindness than threats.
P.S. I was planning to take my post down today after the call I received earlier this week apologizing, and I appreciate your apology as well, but I will leave this up for at least another week to make sure the issue the dates are clear.
Threatened to sue me for a bill I paid. They had their attorney send me a threat letter dated 2/12 even after I paid the $325.52 bill in question on 1/26 by credit card in the store. I came in and paid the bill the weekend after they called to notify me of the error. Now they want to sue me for 3 times the amount? Good luck. Fortunately I CAN afford an attorney, and I will not be bullied. I have never been so insulted in my life. I am an accountant with excellent credit, and I always pay what I owe. This company does not know how to treat it's customers. I will never purchase anything from this...
