This museum is small but they offer a lot of great programs for kids in the 2-6 year age range. I like that they have rotating exhibits for varying interests. Right now is Ruckus rodeo, which as a whole was underwhelming. However, they do have a cute hands on rodeo center in the courtyard for kids, which I enjoyed more than the exhibit itself. Some of the permanent exhibits include history about Longmont, which is actually interesting to read If you have the time. Upstairs on the third floor is a treehouse exhibit, which my kids were really excited about because last time we came it only had a few magnetic tiles on a table. All in all, I think it’s a fun place to visit occasionally being that it’s...

Super informative information about Longmont! The Lego exhibit was also very well done and fun for the kids. The little upstairs tree house and arcade machine leave a lot to be desired. If there were bigger permanent exhibits for the kids it might be worth an annual membership. Overall very nice place. Should be free or significantly discounted though for locals to learn about their community. Make it part of taxes or something. People would pay for improvements and expansion. We are proud of our town. But with 3 small kids, paying for 5 tickets to come here often isn't in our expendable budget. Just a thought! Also maybe consider some food options to make it really a place we could...

A great local museum. Their core exhibit takes you through the history of Longmont over 100 plus years and is very interesting to go through. This portion of the exhibit is free. There are other rotating exhibits which are an additional charge and have been quite varied and get changed up frequently. We always look for what's going on at the museum to plan another visit!

More recent new exhibit - agriCULTURE - teaming up local artists with local farms.

An update. Continued new, high quality exhibits on a regular basis. A great recent example is the Picasso prints exhibit. Who knew? A person in Fort Collins has this collection of over 60...

Elaine did my daughter's 6th birthday party. My wife had an idea to do a Project MC2 themed party. Elaine took the idea and ran with it. She did such a great job. She made some with the kids in an experiment style with hypothesis and sense type questions for the kids. She also had the kids paint a negative of their initials in a periodic table fashion. They also decorated a Project MC2 lab book and safety goggles. We couldn't believe how much thought and work Elaine put into the party. We were extremely appreciative and would highly recommend Elaine and her expertise in other art and science themed birthday parties.
