I really wanted this experience to be awesome, as I sooo enjoyed their bridal expo and was excited to have a discount. I visited another place to try on dresses earlier the same day and received stellar service and found a dress I really liked, so I will say that none of the dresses within my budget were quite measuring up to the one I found earlier (through no fault of Emily Rae's) BUT my family and I were left to our own devices to look at dresses and had to get in the way of another appointment just to look at other dresses. I was expecting a more high-end atmosphere for the fact that it is a prom/bridal boutique, but the set-up of the place was a little odd and confusing, since the dresses are right behind where another appointment could be taking place. We waited in line until the lady at the front desk could take us, and she ended up being our consultant, but she kept having to run back and forth between us and the front desk. She was MIA for the first 10 minutes of the appointment. Maybe this was an issue of being short-handed, but a girl in an appointment when we arrived was given plenty of attention throughout her appointment. My MOH was doing many of the tasks that I would have expected my consultant to do (helping me get into dresses, pulling belts to try with different dresses, etc.) and the consultant just didn't seem to care about us much. I continued trying on dresses because I didn't want to seem rude and just leave, but the entire experience put a bad taste in our mouths. Even my 10 y/o niece could tell the vibes were off. Another thing that bothered me was that I (out of politeness) said that the dresses I tried were pretty, just not on me. (That was my way of trying to get out of the appointment without being rude) And Brooklyn (the consultant) said "yeah..." I'm sorry but even if you believe that, that is a rude thing to say. It is one thing for me to say that about myself. At the other place I visited, the consultant was overly nice and said that everything looked great on me. Did she really believe that? Probably not, but she knew how to make a bride feel GOOD about herself. I felt like I was tossed to the side as soon as I walked in the door. Definitely the worst 30 minutes of my day, and I was so wanting and expecting a...
Read moreGave one star just so I can warn pple about this place. When I went to pick up the dress I ordered there, I noticed a snag on the dress and a loose string on the back. I would not have noticed it unless I asked to see the dress before paying for it bc the cashier was just worried about getting the money that she didn’t even bother to show the dress first before asking for payment, she was very cut and dry. When I asked her what could be done for this like a possible discount off the price bc it was damaged—- could not ask for all my money back bc there was no time to reorder another dress—- the owner came out saying nothing was wrong with the dress, that she could iron out the snag. While she was ironing out the snag the cashier kept telling me the price of the dress to pay her. When the owner brings back the dress, she says the snag is fixed. I show her that the snag was clearly still present and she replied that all dresses get like that—— referring to the snag—- then quickly walked away. Please don’t waste your money nor time at this place they will sell you damaged...
Read moreTHE VERY BEST BRIDAL EXPERIENCE! I'd already visited another bridal salon in town, my very first bridal appointment and left completely upset. I wasn't helped at all and basically told to just pick dresses, with no direction given at all, they didn't help me into any dresses nor did they use clips to help them fit. My poor girlfriend was having to ATTEMPT to help do all this for me.. So, when I came here I was just praying for a better experience! And THANK GOD I did!! Brooklyn, my stylist, was SO HELPFUL! she had inquired when I scheduled with her what I was looking for in a dress and already had me several dresses pulled when I arrived, but of course gave me an option to peruse and choose more. She helped me in and out of every dress and made sure they were all clipped to look as they would had they fit correctly if altered. When I found THE ONE, she made sure to get the other ladies attention in the salon and they all made me feel like a princess. I found my dress that day and it was in within a few short weeks! I could not recommend Emily Rae's more!! They...
