Read moreI'm giving two stars simply because the ladies there are super friendly. If it weren't for them, one star would be it. The big stone in my ring came loose. Took it in. The immediately sent it off for repair. Got it back two weeks later. Within a week, stone was loose again! Took it back yet again to be sent off for repair. After the 3rd time, I requested being able to exchange my ring for another one. Didn't want my money back, just wanted a different ring as I felt that mine was a manufacturing defect. District manager gave me the choice of sending it off to a special jeweler to have prongs added or to send off to the manufacturer for me to wait on them to declare it defective in which then they would allow me to exchange. I was not at all asking for my money back, just asking that they stand behind their product. I was told by the District Manager, Mark, that rings with that big of a stone really need to be more than 4 prongs. I was really not wanting my ring altered. He advised me to take the ring to the store and let them know if my decision. So I did just that. I let them know that I wanted the ring sent to the manufacturer because in their cases in the store, just about every ring had 4 prongs. This made me feel certain mine was defective. I was told this process would take 4-6 weeks. Two weeks goes by and I get a call from the store, my ring is back and ready for pickup and prongs have been added. It looks terrible and is NOT what I wanted. I did not give my permission for a ring I own to be altered. Because of this, I will not be doing business here again. My fiancé and I had initially planned on upgrading soon but with them not standing behind their...
Read moreI purchased a silver chain for my husband as a Father's Day gift from Paramount Jewelers in Longview, Texas, and it turned out to be a complete letdown. The clasp on the chain broke just over a month after I bought it on June 12th. When I took it back to the store on July 17th, they had the audacity to charge me an additional $24 for the repair and informed me that it would take up to 2 weeks to fix. They were going to charge me $32 but after the owner was contacted they agreed to take 25% off.
It is outrageous that I had to pay extra money for a faulty product that cost me $220 initially. The regular price was $425. The poor quality of the chain and the lack of durability are simply unacceptable. Not only did this ruin the gift I intended for my husband, but it also left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with Paramount Jewelers' lackluster customer service.
I expected better from a reputable jeweler like Paramount Jewelers, but unfortunately, they failed miserably in delivering on their promises of quality products and satisfactory customer care. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I would caution others against making purchases from this establishment until they address these...
