Las Americas Grocery & Deli — Attraction in Longwood

This use to be my favorite place to buy meat until we recently purchased some bad meat and the manager refused to exchange the bad meat or refund me back my money. Note, this was not the first time I purchased meat that was bad from this store. This was the third time we purchased meat that was bad. This time I decided to bring it to their attention and hope they would do something about it. We were told they could not accept the meat back because we had the meat longer than a day. "They only accept returns on meat the same day." I proceeded to call other Grocery stores to compare policies and it seems this is one of the only stores in the area with such a ridiculous policy. This was very disappointing considering we have been going here for many years. I guess this store doesn't value their customers as much as you'd think. A little advice for the store manager, please make your policy clear to all customers, maybe have signs that are clearly visable for all customers to see. Have your cashiers explain the meat policy as they are checking out customers at the register. A little curtesy customer service goes a long way. Value your customers, don't treat them as if a few dollars is worth more than their business. Especially to your loyal customers. I honestly feel they are taking advantage of their customers with this meat policy. I am tired of being out of money and stuck with bad meat. I mainly go to Las Americas for the food, and it is fantastic. The food is inexpensive, yet tastes like I’m at a restaurant. The staff is polite and helpful. You can find a verity of things from personal care items to yummy treats and rare finds. There’s no other place like Las America’s and it’s team, and it will always be somewhere really close to my heart for me. The five star rating is well deserved after many year of delicious food and dessert for a low price but not low quality. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying “not enough seasoning” or “too much seasoning” and all I have to say to that is, they have found a perfect middle ground when it comes to pleasing customers and taste in my opinion. They can’t please everyone’s taste buds but they sure did get pretty close based on most reviews including my own. I also have seen comments about the area that it’s located in, and it’s in the same plaza/ area as a Starbucks and a McDonald’s, there can be weird people in any plaza after dark yet, that’s not the company’s fault or it’s staff. This is authentic food, with each bite I can taste the flavor and passion put into their food. I...

So outside and inside does not look that great not as sharp as it should be but! The food was fantastic. I was a little concerned going into this but when I took the first bite I did the all famous mmmmmmm it was absolutely fantastic the flavor was on point the white rice was perfect the beans were perfect and the meat and the sauce was all perfect I would definitely and will definitely go back and eat here again highly recommended.
