AVOID THIS SALON AT ALL COST. I spent $500+ to get my hair ruined in a bleach retouch so you donโ€™t have to. Here are the results. Most of my hair in my crown area snapped. Since the regrowth was relatively short, (PLEASE CHECK THE PICTURES) my hair looks ridiculous. I couldnโ€™t wear my glasses in the process to see what happened since Iโ€™m near sighted, and I asked many times for wipes to clean the bleach they dropped on my skin, glasses and phone, but they didnโ€™t help me at all. They took the other white customers for haircuts more seriously and ignored my minor requests. The owner asked the stylist to put a hot towels on my head. It felt painful on my scalp but they didnโ€™t care to check. They said my hair was strong during the process but told me in the end that my hair was fragile and this amount of breakage was normal, and I have to take TWO MANDATORY $200 treatments. I knew bleach does damage. After I got home and cleaned the bleach on my glasses I saw my hair snapped UNIFORMLY on my crown, which was not normal intuitively. (SEE THE PICTURES) Iโ€™m so disappointed because I live in this community they are located, and I wanted to support small businesses, but I received DAMAGE in return. I blamed myself for my fragile hair for days. I tried to find other stylists for permanent hair extensions, but since it broke on the outer layers of my hair, it couldnโ€™t be done. Every other stylist told me this breakage was not normal, it was caused by overheating, and I have strong type of hair. I realized I have been gaslighted and what they told me doesnโ€™t make sense at all. I should asked them for a refund or at least a solution, they have to. Iโ€™m exhausted seeing all the hate and ignorance during COVID and just want to be peaceful. But my silence doesnโ€™t help other customers like me. STAY AWAY! SAVE YOUR MONEY and find some helpful and respectful professionals.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Sophie is a genius. I am still so obsessed with my hair almost a month later. The color and cut turned out perfectly. Sophie spent close to 45 minutes just talking to me and making sure she knew exactly what my goals were. She explained what her plans were and continually checked in to make sure we were on the same page. I wanted to get extensions for a trip that I had coming up and Sophie went above and beyond to make sure that I could; she even stayed late to install them for me! Everyone at the salon kept stopping by to see how it was coming along, telling me how excited they were to see it. Iโ€™ve never felt so beautiful and powerful as I did after getting my hair done. Everyone is so kind, the salon is so beautifully decorated, and they treat you like a Queen. Iโ€™ve tried quite a few salons since moving to LA, but this is absolutely the only place I will go from now on.

I have been coming here for haircuts for years - and every stylist I've had has given me amazing cuts and styling. My last two appointments have been with Sophie - and I cannot say enough good things about her! She is very sweet, and takes the time to figure out exactly what you want at the beginning of your appointment (and if you are a little unsure, like me - she offers some ideas that would work great with your hair). She takes the time to ensure you are happy when you leave - she gave me a relaxing wash with scalp massage, cut and blow out, and finished with some soft textured waves - it was exactly what I wanted! On top of the top notch service - the salon is cute and clean, and the customers are always offered tea or coffee as soon as you walk in the door. So happy with my haircut from Sophie today!

โ€” Updating from 3 to 4 stars after talking to Sophie, who spoke with me & provided me with a refund. Her customer service is top notch. I can easily see myself returning, knowing they went out of their way to understand the misunderstanding (see below) & desired to make it right. Hoping next time will be 5 star experience. โ€”

Original Review (3 star review):

Not sure entirely where the miscommunication happened, but went into as a male with long hair looking to get a medium cut and definitely ended up with a short hair cut.

Probably would advocate for spending more time looking at reference photos with the hairdresser. She only glanced at what I showed her without really getting to the bottom of why I came or what I wanted. Somehow she even managed to cut even shorter than the reference she showed me, too.

Not sure if she made a mistake early on that started dictating the shorter length because things got weirdly quiet at times โ€” like she realized she didn't know where we were going.

Definitely know it is hard being a first-time customer & figuring out communication with a new hairdresser. I liked the location & atmosphere. Not sure if I will be back (after my hair finally grows out), or if I do, I'd have to be more intentional about forcing them to pay attention to what I am really...

I've been here two or three times now since I moved to LA. I was nervous going to a new stylist since I had the same one for almost my entire life before I moved across the country.

This place was a bit of a pricier option but I loved their style and the reviews seemed great. My first appointment was with Caitlyn and my second appointment was with Nichole. Both of them were incredibly sweet to me (I'm a bit shy ๐Ÿ˜…) and helped me find a style that worked for me each time. Everyone is very friendly and I can tell they adjust their conversational style to each client to make you as comfortable as possible. Caitlyn and Nichole both went out of their way to give me advice on the best style for me and gave me recommendations for products as well. I'm extremely insecure about my looks but they're always very supportive and help boost my confidence by working around my individual features to help me look my very best.

I'm still working on finding the perfect style that I love but I'm going to be going back here because I know they care as much as I do, and will help me refine everything. Every time I've left the salon I feel a lot better. I wish I could come in more regularly but I can't quite afford it easily yet.

Highly recommend...
