The 99 RANCH Market Is an expansive Asian supermarket chain. Their well maintained markets sell a large selection of Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean, and some Americn products. Prices are very good. Most labels are in English.

The 99 Ranch Market houses a large meat market, many varieties of live seafood in large plexiglass tanks, and poultry (fresh killed, roasted, steamed or dried).

The beautifully maintained fruit and vegetable section includes Asian, as well as, conventional American produce. Many are organic.

Isles of dried mushrooms, vegetables, sauces, spices, and oils are displayed.

Frozen ingredients, as well as, a large selection of heat-and-serve Asian meals fill row after row of display cases. Many vegan/vegetarian foods and spices are intermixed with conventional proteins.

Also available is a very complete collection of excellent quality Asian cooking and serving utensils, at surprisingly moderate prices.

Fresh baked Asian goods and hot and refrigerated carryouts are delicious and inexpensive. Many are vegan.

STUFF: The gender-neutral bathrooms are located in the center of the meat department, down the hallway. The entire store is wheelchair accessible. Easy free parking except at busiest times. Shopping carts are located at the entrance.

There are currently 58 Ranch Markets...

Hi I have been going to this store for years with my mom but I used to go to 99 Ranch Store in Chinatown. The manager gave me golden chocolate coins, because my mom is a good shopper there and I was a kind child back then too. Back to Van Nuys, we like many others like this store because of a wide range of goods and we like the bakery and deli there. Their egg rolls are devine and the kind man in the counter gave us duck sauce. The store should do another job fair especially for the seafood section, employees are good there but it's not enough and this is kind of my suggestion but it's up for a toss but could there be more thongs for the fish so they can't be contaminated and there should be someone in charge for the numbers. I was a bit bored so I made a video and picture just to try my phone. Also between my mom and I we joked which manager would be the general and which one would be the president but it's really out of respect though.( They don't know 😅😶‍🌫️🤫🙉.) Update: I have seen better days at this store in a good way, saw the baskets for the fish and the fish is fresh. I wish my mom was more interactive with them but she is 🪭. This place is a gem...

Please train your people the right way this is for all the managers give your cashier the right tools and the right training to fix all kinds of situations, it is so bad from you guys to not have the skills to find a solution about my dishes you guys try to make it simple by saying WE DONT HAVE ANY WRAPPING PAPER, that sounds to me like lazy people including managers, cashiers and owners, unfortunately you guys take advantage because you guys know we need some of your products and that’s why you guys do wherever you guys want , unfortunately sometimes you guys are the only option we have . About five days ago, I purchased a frozen AROY-D Tom Yum Kung soup. Today, on August 4, 2025, I was planning to eat it but noticed that the expiration date on the package was June 27, 2025. This means the product is over a month past its expiration date. I am deeply concerned that expired food like this is still being sold. It poses a risk to consumers’ health and violates basic food safety standards. I strongly advise everyone to always check expiration dates to avoid situations like this. At the same time, it is unacceptable for a store to sell a product that expired more than a month ago. I hope appropriate action will be taken to resolve this issue and to prevent such cases from happening in the future. This is the first time I have encountered such an issue, so I am not contacting the relevant authorities yet. However, if I come across something like this again, I will not leave the matter unresolved and will report it to the appropriate agencies.
