We had a good experience at the Beverly Hills Marriott, overall. However, getting the room we needed was a frustrating experience in the following ways: 1) Marriott's website is hit or miss in regard to mobility accessible hotel rooms. Sometimes the information is accurate. Sometimes it is contradictory (e.g., saying that a single hotel room has a roll-in shower and a bathtub when it is really one or the other but there is no way to tell which). Sometimes there's no information. 2) Whenever I have tried to book a room with points or a rewards certificate, a message has appeared that said "You can choose an accessible room later," but it doesn't actually provide that option. 3) Sometimes a confirmation email will say that a mobility-accessible room is guaranteed. Other times it says it's not guaranteed. What is the point of reserving a mobility-accessible room if it's not guaranteed? If I can't get a wheelchair-accessible room, I can't stay at the hotel! When will Marriott start treating accessibility like a requirement (legal and otherwise) instead of an amenity? 4) In light of 1-3, I knew I would need to call to make a reservation at this hotel with points. The person I spoke with said that she made sure a specific mobility-accessible room with a bathtub would be assigned to us. (Room 411) (The actual room was 329 though.) 5) Again, due to previous experiences with hotels, I called the front desk of the Beverly Hills Marriott to confirm that they have wheelchair-accessible rooms with bathtubs and that one would be available for the night we needed it. The person I spoke with told me that they don't have any wheelchair-accessible rooms with bathtubs. 6) I called the front desk again later to ask follow-up questions and come up with a new plan of action. The person who answered the phone this time said they do have wheelchair-accessible rooms with bathtubs. 7) When we arrived, the first person we spoke with at the front desk said they do not have wheelchair-accessible rooms with bathtubs. I told her that other employees had assured me that they do. She told us again that they don't. I asked if she could find us the type of room we needed at another Marriott location in the area. Then she told us she would check with someone else at the hotel to make sure they don't have any wheelchair-accessible rooms with bathtubs. Surprise! They DO have a wheelchair-accessible room with a bathtub! She told us there is exactly one in the hotel. 8) When my husband asked about using the lift for the pool, he was told that they don't have a lift. Since we saw that there was a lift for the pool and the hot tub, he told the employee that they do. Eventually, that employee said that Mr. Allen could help. He got a battery for the lift and helped us to use it. So, we did get the accessibility features that we needed, but it was a real ordeal to get them. There is so much room for improvement here, Marriott!!! The room itself: The bathroom was great. There was room to maneuver my wheelchair. The bathtub side was low. There was good water pressure and temperature, and there were grab bars by the toilet and bathtub. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash on the wall would be impossible for anyone to reach while taking a bath unless they could stand up. I brought my own so this wasn't an issue for me, but I'm mentioning as an FYI. The room was small, but there was adequate room to maneuver my wheelchair. The bed was very comfortable. As others have mentioned, we heard traffic noise from the street down below. I was surprised how loud it was and how many cars were on the road at 4:00am. I brought a white noise machine and wore ear plugs, which helped some.

**WARNING ! Do NOT valet at this hotel!** The owner and staff of this hotel take zero responsibility for your vehicle upon valeting . Despite paying $50 a day for secure valet parking they still managed to trash my wheels and deny ANY wrong doing. As a loyal Marriott member it's very disappointing and frustrating to receive the denial of my $250.00 claim for the damage caused to my wheels by one of the valet attendants at the Beverly Hills Marriott . I carefully reviewed the response provided by their team, and I respectfully disagree with their decision made not to reimburse my repairs . Allow me to elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the incident so others can avoid being put in a similar situation . I provided evidence and proof of liability/ negligence to the folks at Towne Park ( owners of this particular Marriott property) in my request for reimbursement for the repairs . You can clearly see in the attached photos that my wheels were visibly damaged while under the care of your valet service. Additionally, it is worth noting that I entrusted my vehicle to their establishment with the reasonable expectation that it would be handled with care and returned to me in the same condition. As a customer, I believe it is fair to expect that the Marriott Beverly Hills valet attendants would exercise due diligence and professionalism in their duties. The fact that my vehicle was damaged while under their care of indicates a failure to meet this reasonable standard of care, which I believe should be acknowledged and rectified. My intention in filing my claim was not to create undue inconvenience or seek compensation beyond what is owed to me. My aim was to simply hold the Marriott Beverly Hills accountable for the damage caused by their valet attendant and to obtain a fair resolution to this matter. The requested amount of $250.00 represents the cost of repairing the damaged wheels, which I believe is a reasonable and justifiable claim given the circumstances. As a loyal customer of Marriott, I have always held the brand in high regard and have enjoyed numerous positive experiences. But based on this recent experience with the Beverly Hill Marriott commitment to customer satisfaction ( or lack thereof ) I can assure you i will most definitely not be returning . Drivers beware!!

We were very disappointed with our stay. When we checked in, there were a couple of people ahead of me. When it was my turn, I walked forward and was greeted with a gruff "you need to wait". She could have smiled and acknowledged me at some point. Both agents just looked down and didn't greet me until I walked right up to the counter. A simple smile and "I'll be right with you" would have been very nice. When we checked in, I wanted to get some hot water for tea in the M Club - they were out so I asked them to refill the water. I went back a couple of times and never got the hot water. I tried to get some bottled water, but that was out as well. In general the M Club was often out of things and was always very dirty. I did finally get water when I called down again and Zoe had them bring me water. She was very nice. When I went for breakfast on Monday morning, there was not a clean table or countertop available to eat at. There were crumbs on the floor, dirty plates and food all over the countertops and tables. No decaffeinated teas available, almost no clean cups but many dirty cups on the same counter, crumbs, dirty plates and sticky stuff on ALL tables and countertops - floors were aweful!! I realize that staffing is difficult in these times but this was absurd. I did see kids in there alone filling a bag with sodas - an adult came in later (probably a grandmother) and they left. They shouldn't be allowed in without an adult but I never saw anyone in there to monitor. I had called to ask about the pillows. I've wanted to purchase the ones that were in my room for a while but when I go online, I can't tell which ones they are. I asked for help and they said they would check but when I left, they said there wasn't even a note on my file. They could have at least responded and told me they couldn't find it. The morning of checkout, someone woke us up pounding on the door asking what time we were checking out - this was 8:30 AM and I was sound asleep - that was really rude since I told them the day before that I was checking out around 11AM - I could have asked for later checkout. The valets were wonderful - super nice and helpful - though they were swamped with cars coming in and leaving. All in all a very disappointing stay. Linda
