This review will reflect the live musician services of Blitz Nation we experienced via booking Second Song.
We were beyond excited for the live music as guest entertainment was one of our top priorities for our wedding. There's no feeling like the one live music provides. In fact, this was the deciding factor for why we went with Second Song over the dozens of highly rated DJ vendors in the LA/OC/IE area.
The String Duo that showed up for our ceremony was great; arrived early, was very professional and played the selected songs wonderfully. Unfortunately, we could not say the same for Jay, the Saxophone player, whom we booked for 2 hours as the surprise performance and finale of our wedding.
On the day of the wedding, the Saxophone player was a no show. We got zero notice and he could not be reached by our planner. The ultimate nightmare right? We were told that Jay had a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to record with a prominent artist which went overtime and he selfishly notified Blitz Nation and Second Song at the last second.
Blitz Nation apologized for this and sent us a small $150 Ticketmaster gift card to make "new memories" and "put this behind us" only after we told them how disappointed we were.
Unfortunately, you will only ever have one wedding, there is never a second chance... Tens of thousands of dollars spent for this one day, just for your planned wedding night finale to go MIA. You will never have all of your family, friends, and loved ones (who flew in from out of the country, traveled thousands of miles, booked hotels) together at the same place and time to share this experience. This may be one isolated event, but this happened to us. If you ask me, for a wedding, one is one too many. When we think about this, we are still sad and disappointed.
UPDATE: We did end up getting a response with a thorough explanation and they did seem to want to genuinely make things right so this rating has been updated to...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of working with Blitz Nation for our wedding reception at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA, and they truly made our celebration unforgettable. From start to finish, their team was phenomenal, providing the perfect soundtrack to our special day and ensuring that our guests were entertained and on the dance floor all night long.
Blitz Nation went above and beyond our expectations in every way. Their DJ, Peter, skillfully curated a playlist that perfectly matched the mood and energy we wanted for our wedding. Every song choice was spot on, keeping the atmosphere lively and our guests excited. The seamless transitions and expert mixing kept the energy high from the first dance to the last song of the night. What truly set Blitz Nation apart, however, was the incredible performance of their band members. They didn't just play music; they brought the party to life. Their interaction with the crowd was fantastic, creating an engaging and dynamic experience that everyone loved. The band members played along with the songs, adding a unique and personal touch that made the night even more special. Their ability to read the crowd and keep the momentum going was impressive and ensured that the dance floor was packed the entire evening.
Our guests couldn't stop raving about how much fun they had and how amazing the music was. Blitz Nation created an electric atmosphere that made our wedding night an absolute blast. Their professionalism, energy, and talent were evident in every moment, and we couldn't be more grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped us create.
We wholeheartedly recommend Blitz Nation to anyone looking for top-notch entertainment for their event. Their team is exceptional, and they will undoubtedly make your celebration as memorable and enjoyable as ours was.
Thank you to Blitz Nation for making our wedding day so magical and for keeping the party going...
Read moreWe hired Blitz Nation for our wedding, originally scheduled for June 2025. Sadly, we are now unable to have our celebration due to an extended deployment for my husband, who is active duty military. On top of that, we endured two family deaths, a pregnancy, and a miscarriage - all in 2025. It’s been a time of unimaginable grief and change for us.
Throughout the booking process, Robert was professional and courteous. However, when it came time to cancel our wedding due to these life-altering circumstances, Blitz Nation declined to return our deposit—approximately $2,500.
While I understand that the contract allows them to retain it, I believe this decision reflects a lack of compassion and flexibility, especially given the nature of our situation. They did offer to apply our deposit to a future date, but after everything that has happened this year, I will not be planning another wedding, and have accepted this is not in the cards for us.
Many of our other vendors responded with empathy and refunded us in full, despite similar contractual terms. Their willingness to prioritize humanity over policy meant the world to us. I had hoped Blitz Nation would do the same, particularly for a military family facing both service-related and personal hardships.
This isn’t a review of their performance at an event—we never made it that far. But I do think it’s important for others to know that while Blitz Nation may be legally within their rights, their unwillingness to make exceptions in extraordinary cases is telling. That $2,500 would have gone a long way in helping us rebuild and plan for the future family we still hope to have.
UPDATE: Israel has now bombed Iran and my husband is in the middle of all of it, and most likely won't return until the end of September. I hope Blitz Nation feels good about keeping our money. If they were an ethical company, they would return our money for military in these...
