Drivers Ed Direct — Attraction in Los Angeles

My daughter used Drivers Ed Direct for her driving program from November 2033 - January 2023. Overall, they have a great online program for the permit testing that's modern and engaging. Their YouTube videos are excellent for test prep too. I worked with my daughter to review each chapter of the Online Permit preparation, and then as we were out driving each day we would discuss and point out examples of the things she was learning in each chapter. This really helped her to understand the concepts better since she didn't have the permit and wasn't able to drive yet. She passed the Permit test on the first try and felt very confident with the test. Then she began her driving lessons and absolutely loved her instructor Jo. We used her for all 3 driving lessons and it provided great continuity and they established a great relationship. My daughter was very well prepared for her Drivers Test and passed it on the first try. Drivers Ed Direct has a great program for teaching and it helps lead to success for the kids passing the lessons. The customer service and scheduling department are A+ to work with - they are so on top of things and organized. Even though they book up fast, they are great with reschedules and changes. Overall we have no complaints and highly recommend them to all our friends. I also want to add - the key to success is parent involvement in this process. I was searching for a driving school for my daughter through the summer and every recommended school was not responsive or had a several months delay. I saw Driver's Ed Direct's car in my neighborhood and gave them a call. As a busy attorney and sole parent to my children, I appreciate professionalism, efficiency, organization, quick communication, structure, and delivery of ethical services without requiring me to put in extra effort to keep others on track. All these expectations were not only met by this school, they were exceeded. In a world where providers require a lot of effort by parents, I continue to be impressed with the ease and high level of service and care provided by this company. The instructors were extremely professional, on time, provided thorough reports after each drive, and the lessons continued to increase in difficulty and skill. My request to honor night drives, canyon driving, and practice the test at the DMV of our choice were all honored. Text communication was greatly appreciated to keep me on track with payments and drive lessons. My daughter passed the first time and my anxiety about putting her behind the wheel alone at a young age was alleviated when I received the post-lesson reports from each instructor, giving me detailed feedback about her progress, strengths, and weaknesses. Would definitely recommend this driving program. I signed up for both the online and 10 hrs of behind the wheel training as there is a slight discount. I had to nag them to get their online learning done but they really enjoyed working with the driving instructors, particularly Tony. The only negative was that the behind the wheel lessons book up VERY quickly so schedule as soon as you can. The kids finally finished the online portion in late April 2022 and took their written tests in late June 2022. Study the CA driver’s handbook for the written test. I called to sign them up for the driving lessons but was only able to get the first lesson for one kid in late August. I was hoping for weekends when there’s less traffic but they ended up having to do lessons late afternoons and early evenings after school in the midst of the evening commute. They finally finished all 10 hrs in October. Loved that you have the choice of a Prius or a Hybrid SUV for lessons as my kids will be driving a SUV.
