I have been shopping at this Target for over 20yrs. First I have to sayThe crew of people they have working at any given time is always great. Very pleasant, helpful, and very professional and courteous. I've worked almost 30yrs in customer service, customer relations, and quality control and believe me, I notice everything. LoL And this Target, Has maintained a very consistent quality of employees. They are almost always 5 stars across the board. As far as the store itself, this is my Target. Close to home, I've always been happy, rarely had any problems finding the things I went there for. But lately, meaning in this passed yr and a half maybe 2yrs, (LONG BEFORE Covid-19 made people go cray-cray stock piling random necessities like it's the end of days or something) over the last couple of yrs, it's been happening more and more. I arrive to find things completely out of stock. Literally EMPTY sections on the SHELVES I return the next day, often 2 or 3 days later, still nothing. A week. STILL NOTHING. A week that is just wrong. What's going on? Let me repeat, I'm NOT referring to items currentlyin high demand and sparse supply due to the coronavirus pandemic. That's to be expected. It's been happening with other items, in various departments. One time it was ziplocs, another time, maybe a brand of soda, it's happened with deli meat, cheese, a couple different small kitchen appliances, bedding, (empty! I can't remember the last time I saw anything on the shelves where there should be queen sized Bed sheets) tonight there was zero dairy no milk, at all, anywhere. But that May be due to a special issue I'm unaware of. But no dish soap?? Seriously?? How It's that even possible at TARGET?? This is the store I rely on most for household items and cleaning supplies. But lately almost every trip I make to this Target is inevitably followed by an unplanned trip to Walmart or another Target or drugstore to pick up the things that Target didn't have. What's happening to my...

Big, clean, organized, nice employees, very helpful, good products, good prices, good parking, big thumbs up! 👍 HOWEVER, the layout of the store is overwhelming. I get dizzy and my gf refuses to go without me and panics if we get separated. I don't know how it is at other Target 🎯 stores, but that's how ours is. When you enter, you are in the "J" (or is it "E"?) aisles and the numbers increase. I needed "D" so we went around in pointless circles for a while until we gave up and trudged forward. (I tried to be prepared by carefully noting the aisle numbers listed online next to the items on my list. I even color coded things on the same aisles. Yeah, you have to go "special forces" to accomplish your goals at this store). We eventually found most of what we needed, but the aisle numbers are messed up too, or I'm dyslexic, which I am. We went up and down some aisles repeatedly, not realizing they were the same aisles. I know stores intentionally do this to some degree, but this is akin to torture and we usually end up feeling like we just gotta get the heck out of there, abandon hope, abandon the kids and personal belongings, it's not necessary to get everything on the list, it's now down to saving your sanity and possibly your life. It's time for stores to realize that trapping us like rats in a crazy maze might not make us purchase as much as if the store was simply a pleasant and comforting place to be and we enjoyed lingering and looking longer. The people who came up with such devices (the very same people who feel reorganizing an entire store's layout for no practical reason) are diabolical, misguided, and possibly reptilians disguised as humans. The poor souls who don't make it out are probably processed and packaged into special lizard snacks. But the dog...

It's a target, a generic and under stocked target. Don't get me wrong. I love target and always use target. And am amiss when I move to a city (Santa Barbara) that doesn't have target.

But this particular store's downside is the fact: NOT EVERY target is created EQUAL.

It's always crowded, my specific items are seldom in stock, yet the items I DON'T Need, proliferate around. It's a hit or miss. Also, it's a tad bit on the more ragged side as well concerning the optics and cleanliness. Feels like a Walmart with the persons there and employees. Everyone is grim but not rude. They'll help, without a smile and blank attitude. But the biggest problem is the messiness. The floors are dirty. Like Walmart. Now this may be all due to the fact that this tarher is dead center in the west valley. Catering exclusively to Chatsworth, this target serves winetka, Canoga, Reseda, Northridge, ad infinitum....

tl;dr

Too many people, grim but polite atmosphere, dirty, and messy. Never on stock on stuff you want or doesn't have stuff you need. Lastly, it's optics mimic Walmart rather than a target. Cause Walmart is the bane of humanity. Ending on positive note, choose the other targets like on nordoff and balboa. It's the best. It's...

I had a good experience at this Target but it's not the one I go most of the time because it's a little farther for me. I came to this Target to pick up my online order since this was the only Target that had the item I wanted. They have many parking spots and have destinated curbside pickup spots. They also have someone to greet you when you walk in, probably to check that their customer wear mask and there also someone checking the exit. I was able to walk straight up to the online pickup area and an employee scanned the barcode on my phone to verify my order. I took my own bag to the store so they wouldn't charge me for their bag.

price match on items online, great policy. the cafe does need better manegament, out of hot dogs and other foods, filthy soft drink area, rude cashier. but over all cust do not really need employees to find their way into things they are looking for. a simple hello from their employees can make a difference. Again, today November 3, 2017 out of hot dogs and the pretzel sandwich. asked about hotdogs. cahier's repply ( it is broken).
