This place is unsafe. We've been coming here for years, but no more after today. Today I saw an unsupervised toddler running around the motorcycle area. Another child hit her with a motorcycle, and she fell and got her leg caught between the bumper and the wheel of the vehicle. Two adults, not employees and not the child's parents, managed to extricate the girl, who by then was understandably apoplectic. I don't know if she was injured but she was freaking out. One of the adults carried her out of the motorcycle pen, and just stood there until the parents found her. It was horrifying, and I have a feeling nothing will be done because the child was too young to be able to explain what happened to her.
The space was way too crowded today, and there were not nearly enough employees to adequately supervise that facility. Of course the parents should always keep track of their kids, but when it's too crowded that becomes nearly impossible. The main play structure is a complex warren full of visibility holes, so even on a calm day you will lose sight of your child.
Other hazards I've noticed in the past:
Some of the mats are held down with metal rebar that sticks out of the floors. This is normally capped with plastic, but it can easily be kicked off, and then you're left with a metal spike sticking out of the floor.
Then there's the structure that is a mesh cylinder made of several floors of interlacing elastic bands. Many of the bands are stretched out and I've often witnessed children fall through multiple floors before being caught.
And again, this motorcycle pen has signage telling kids not to walk around on foot, but if you're too young to read then it really doesn't work.
I don't blame the employees. They do a great job considering what they're up against. There just aren't enough of them, and they need to put a limit on how many customers are let in at one time. I understand this affects KE's bottom line, but honestly I can see this place turning into Action Park without some...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews, but after the experience I had, I feel it’s necessary to speak up and warn other parents. I’ve been coming to this location for a while now, but after what I witnessed recently, I will not be returning.
I visited on a Saturday, and the facility was overcrowded with barely enough staff to manage the flow of guests. Only two or three employees were handling check-ins and the front line, while no one was monitoring the playground. I saw kids getting burned on the slide and others climbing unsafely with no staff supervision or intervention.
I want to be clear, I don’t blame the individual team members.
It’s obvious they’re overwhelmed and doing the best they can with what they’ve been given. This falls entirely on the company’s leadership. With all signs pointing to budget cuts and poor staffing decisions, it’s clear Kids Empire is prioritizing profits over safety. The most alarming part of my visit was when my child stepped on a nail that was on the floor. Thankfully, it only caused a bruise, but it could have been so much worse a toddler could have swallowed it, or it could have punctured a foot. This kind of safety hazard is completely unacceptable in a children’s environment. To make matters worse, I saw staff members opening the exit door for children without ensuring a parent was present. As a parent, that’s horrifying to witness. Safety should be non-negotiable, especially in a facility meant for kids.I’ve brought concerns to management in the past, and nothing has changed. Even the regional manager has failed to address or improve these serious issues. This reflects a larger pattern of poor decision making and negligence at the company level. Parents deserve better. Our children deserve better. Until Kids Empire takes real responsibility and puts safety first, I cannot in good conscience recommend this...
Read moreThe place is always clean, my son loves going and his motor development for sure improved after taking him from the time he was crawling to now at almost three. The only issue i have encountered here was irresponsible parents not watching over there kids and what they are doing. My son has been shoved a couple of times and last time there was a kid older than mine going down the slide with a tricycle, it was a busy weekday there was even a party going on as well. Well in a split of a second and with adults walking around blocking the slide area, my fast giant toddler ran from the lego enclosed area where we both were to the end of the big slide. My son has always being on the 100% for height and weight so he might appear as a 5T when is just barely 2.5 so he isnt so vocal, I am always supervising him because he is very active and requires attention so the moment this happened, i sprint after him and there was this older kid maybe age 5-7 but small for his size getting ready to go down, I put my hands up and scream pls dont go. I was so shocked because he let go almost with malicious intend and he collide with my son and harmed him. EVERYONE around notice and looked at the commotion and I asked the little boy where his mother was so I can let her know of what happened and NO one came forward, that was a coward move in my opinion. I let one of the workers know because the boy kept repeating this behavior using the bike down the slide multiple times on a row and could have hurt someone else or himself. I'm glad the worker took action right away and approach the party goers and removed the toy from the kid and let them know again that was not allowed. We haven't come back after that incident but I'm still open to go back, accidents do happen but at that moment, it was upsetting, my son had a big bump...
