SHAMEFUL and CORRUPT management (Grace the manager), and several of the female workers. They actually remove good quality merchandise which comes up for sale on Thursday’s! They take it to the back and change the tags to full price. I addressed this because it happened to me - right in front of my eyes, an item that I stood in line for to buy, was removed, as I watched the female worker do it from the front glass cabinet and repriced to full price and different color tag and then, she came back with it with the different tag and price. They are all WORKING IT TOGETHER. The corporate security management looked at the video and called me to go and pick up my merchandise for the correct 99c price. I am sure this goes on CONSTANTLY!!! They just got caught!!! Red handed!!! BTW, They were nasty and rude to me and commanded me to leave the store when I originally caught them and asked them to explain! So much for heavy corruption at your local LaBrea Goodwill! They need to get rid of the manager and crooked sales people! Although I was a regular customer of this Goodwill, Grace the manager and the workers who knew me, never bothered to apologize. What kind of charity are they running there?...

I was there getting three items had to wait forever for a price on one because the clerk on the floor couldn't price it and then when I got up to the counter the manager is looking at the tag but like I switched it. I told him to look at the camera and he said he's reporting at the loss prevention. I said go ahead and then you owe me an apology. I will never go to 817 La Brea ever again. 7/2025 Update: Yesterday 8/9/2025 while shopping I was approached by the manager Joyce who said that it was reported that I put something in my personal bag that I bought into the store with me that I had my purse and my phone. She said she verified it with the cameras. I immediately emptied my bag and my purse and she saw that she was lying straight to my face. And did I get an apology of course not. I have reported this to the district manager and something is definitely wrong with the employees at this location. Another male shopper said he was glad I stood my ground. The young, African-American male that checked my purchases at the counter was rude, dismissive, and judgmental as I purchased my items. He lazily dropped a plastic bag at me when I answered yes to wanting a bag for my things. I asked why he was doing that, and he said, "cuz the bag's free, you do it yourself." There was a blazer in the bag of mostly t-shirts, and when he picked it up, he said, "Oh, you going to a business meeting?" I keep my cool, because this simp isn't worth getting into anything with. I didn't even mention to him that he shouldn't be eating greasy potato chips while he's handling clothes people are buying, eating them with his mouth full and open while he's "helping" customers. Well, it's a sad state if that's what they're teaching young people is acceptable in the, any, workplace. Oh, and my wife was a bit annoyed that there was a young female employee on her cell phone, on the sales floor, swearing loudly, when there small children near both of them. Nice job, Goodwill.
