Larchmont Beauty Center — Attraction in Los Angeles

I absolutely LOVE Larchmont Beauty Center! I've been a customer there for over 25 years and in all that time have never seen anything quite like this amazing place.

Upon entering, you might think you're dreaming because this store boasts the most spectacular "eye candy show" for makeup & beauty product lovers I have ever seen for a beauty supply- and that's an understatement. Its a cross between a very high end beauty supply shop & a highly condensed Bloomingdales cosmetic/ beauty department. Row after row the shelves are densely stocked with the best of the best in hair, beauty & cosmetic products- including nail polish, perfumed body wash, scented candles, gorgeous hair barettes & other "must have" hair ornaments- plus, the very best in tweezers, flat irons, blow dryers, hair cutting scissors, etc. I stopped in yesterday and bought a number of luxury items from Shiseido foundation to Molton Brown of London body wash & shampoo. I also got a bunch of these very nice little plastic containers that I cannot find ANYwhere else which I use for tiny amounts of custom blended eyeshadow or samples of face cream I want to take with me in my handbag or for traveling when I don't want to bring the big clunky container it originally came in.

The owners are a very sweet older couple- Fred & Sharon. They are truly NICE ( a genuine RARITY these days!!!), tremendously knowledgeable & very helpful. Its mind boggling that they can fit as many products in that smallish shop as they do. Go check them out! They are in the Village on Larchmont between 2nd & Beverly in Hollywood. I lived around the corner from here for many years and now live 20 minutes away & dearly miss the convenience of having them SO close by. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this store. Oh, and you ladies- and you 'other ladies' with snooty/extra fancy taste... this store...

Worst costumer service ever ! There is this old man at the cashier and he does not even bother to act “ a lil “nice . His mode is more like an “ i don’t give a s.it about you even if you are buying something from us 😂“ . Price range are ok on some products but i wonder how come they did survive this business for 20 something years ! Not a friendly environment, it makes you feel afraid to ask a simple question . If you are not a people’s person please do not bother to be in a business that you will have to have a continuously contact with them . I was very nice and i said have a nice day when i was leaving, he did not even bother to say you too!! So this one star review goes for their very unfriendly and unprofessional ...

They have a really great selection for a neighborhood beauty supply shop, but sometimes it’s a bit overpriced. I’ve been pretty much ignored the times I’ve come into the shop, no one has asked me if I needed any help or had any questions, which can be a blessing sometimes. No one likes to be followed like they’re a criminal or hounded, right? But one time I really needed help and the person at the counter was chatting a long, long time with another customer and I just lost patience and left. I just didn’t have a lot of time to wait that day. I appreciate that they carry some salon-only brands, but I found the prices are better on Amazon for some items.
