Larchmont Sanctuary Spa — Attraction in Los Angeles

"Unfortunately, that's how the cards have fallen." This is exactly what Dana, the front desk staff told me 45mins before my wife and I were to get a 90 min couple's Date night massage package for our anniversary. As we were fighting LA traffic to get to the spa, there was no kind gesture to help with this major inconvenience, other than they can reschedule us next week because they are fully booked. When we were told this, it sounded as if we weren't important enough for them to keep our business. We were told when we booked the massage, if we were to cancel within 48hrs of the massage appointment, we would still get charged. Imagine, if it was me or another customer canceling 45mins before the scheduled massage appointment? It is sad to say, we would have gotten charged the $525. This is very unfortunate, especially when we were recommended by a group of friends, who gave us a gift certificate for our wedding anniversary to this spa. I will tell them my experience, and I am sure we all will find another day spa that will have some type of compassion about our situation, especially on a wedding anniversary. I will not only relay this unfortunate experience to my group of friends, but to everyone I know in the neighborhood. If it was my business, I would have done whatever it took to help a couple on their wedding anniversary with either some type of compensation, or additional gift certificate because of the inconvenience. I went in for our anniversary. The place was nice, the therapist were amazing and polite. However, the two girls in the front reception were rude, awful, impolite and unhelpful. When we arrived there was no parking in the front. So I had to park at the meters and it was only for 2 hours. After the jacuzzi the therapists came out to get us. But because the massage was 90 minutes and we were parked at the meters he suggested me to go to front desk and ask them if they can do me the favor on running down to add more time (since we were on our robes and sandals) the girls in reception didn’t want to help and just said “why didn’t you just parked in front” (with an attitude)

Once everything was done I came out before my partner. I told the girl I was going to go check on my car and if she needed anything else from me before I left and she just asked me for my name and said that was it. Minutes later my girlfriend called me to go back because the girl at the desk needed us to check out still. I went back inside and told the girl I thought you said we were good and that was everything you needed from me and she responded with an attitude again saying “no I still need to check you out” and pretty much ask you since everything was pre paid would you like to leave a tip 🤦‍♂️

I did left a tip only because she said it was for the therapist but this place needs better customer service from the girls in the front!!!!! Seems like they are in a bad mood and...

My wife and I were given a spa day at the Larchmont Sanctuary spa as a wedding gift and we went to enjoy a well-pampered day at the spa.

It's a warm and intimate location that has all the trappings of a great spa that I enjoy. Cozy waiting room with a fireplace, attentive front-desk staff, snacks/water and amazing therapists. We thought it was perfect for us.

My wife and I enjoyed a massage from Victor and Vivian, which my wife said her's was "life changing". I had Victor for mine and he did some moves I had never even experienced before. He did this thing with my neck/skull area that made my body go limp. I even tried to have my wife do it at home the next day.

My favorite part was the facial with Liz. As a guy, I have very little experience with facials and she immediately made me feel comfortable and was able to get me to open up and explain what I wanted out of the treatment. I told Liz I wanted to relax and "make my skin look fresh". We decided on the Vitamin C facial for me and I laid down and she went to do her thing. The whole process was enjoyable and she even did this amazing arm massage that was perfect. I left completely relaxed and my wife said my face was glowing.
