Martin Luther King Jr. Park — Attraction in Los Angeles

I live around the corner from this park and I’m so sad to have such a horrible park so close to me.. Sometimes I wanna be able to take my son to the library without him having to walk past the nonsense (drug heads, prostitutes, and gang bangers).. I want him to be able to go to baseball or basketball practice without having to lose my parking spot by driving to a farther park but unfortunately all of the druggies, homeless, and thugs make it a unsafe and disgusting environment for kids.. when I moved over here I brought my son here to play basketball and get familiar with our new neighborhood park, and there was no only homeless people smoking meth on the swings, but graffiti all over.. I thought maybe that was just a one time thing so I took him a few more times considering like I said we live around the corner and each time it was disgusting.. now I have to drive all the way to Manchester park for him to play sports in a safe environment.. these parks west of...

I really enjoyed this park! Doesn't matter about the location, I had a great time. It was very safe, peaceful, and all of the people that were there were very pleasant. You can play softball, baseball, lift weights, whatever you want. I was not too happy about the conditions of the restrooms though. The restrooms need a lot of work. Love it here I see a lot of black people bbq, hanging out in parking lot, playing soccer, basketball, and have events for the kids throughout the year and drum circle music events I believe on Friday and Sunday not sure tho. Whenever I go to the park on Sunday, there is an event for the public going on with Music. Not sure if that happens...
