My husband got me the Lux Retreat package to relax and I was excited to try the spa. I decided to plan my appointment on a Saturday as a spa day and booked my appointment via a phone call. The robes were so comfy and the spa was really clean which I appreciated. They also have a few snacks in the waiting area which was comfortable and cute. My signature massage was done by Ariel and it was amazing. It was really relaxing and the oils smelled heavenly. I definitely want to go back for this service. Ariel took her time and my massage was so relaxing. I get massages quite often and this was one of the best ones I’ve had. I don’t remember who did my facial but the esthetician did a great job. My face looked great and I definitely felt like it was needed since I don’t do much to my skin. I would recommend the 90 minute facial.
I had a lux manicure and lux pedicure. I have had better mani pedis. They do dry mani pedis so they use spray bottles. While I enjoyed the warm towels, I like soaking my feet in water. The person who worked on me did a good job. She took her time and did file my nails well. I didn’t realize that the lux mani pedi did not include gel polish. When I found out, I tried to upgrade my polish to gel but I couldn’t. I wish I had been told about this when booking the service since I did it on the phone. I waited for 15 minutes and then the manicurist checked my nails and said they were dry. I went to change and apparently one of my nails was not dry. It got messed up. I asked someone at the front desk if it could be fixed before I left. She asked if I was ok with waiting almost 40 minutes to fix one nail. After about 5 minutes she asked if she could get the clear top coat and fix it. I said sure. She got the polish and handed it to me to fix my own nail. I fixed it and waited for it to dry. I got the manicure on Saturday afternoon and by Tuesday it had already started chipping. I think it’s crazy to charge $55 for a manicure and have them fix a screw up and also I don’t think the pedicure was worth $80 either. I was annoyed by how the woman at the front desk treated me because the manicurist checked my nails and told me they were dry. Asking her to take a minute out of her day to fix one nail should not have been a big deal but the woman at the front desk acted like it was. I’m used to better service especially since they charge luxury prices.
To sum this up, massages and facials amazing but I would skip the mani pedi. This place would be perfect for a spa day with a girlfriend or...
Read moreUnfortunately the service I received for a full leg and Brazilian wax was terrible. Loved the girl who did the service but maybe she wasn’t fully trained on how to wax? Not sure but I have been waxing for over 8 years now and this was by far the worst wax I’ve ever gotten, first there was a ton of hair left over on my legs which I had to have her correct in the room but because of the dim lighting I wasn’t able to see the rest of the patches of hair she left on my bikini area and back of my thighs/legs until the next day when I was already on a flight out of country and wasn’t able to call or ask for a further correction. So besides the large patches of hair that were left on my legs (behind and sides of knee and thighs) there was a ton of hair left in the Brazilian area to the point where it seemed like I didn’t even have a wax there. Plus the technique was terrible, she wasn’t anchoring the skin when she pulled which caused a lot of unnecessary pain and she would have to try to rip the strips off in the same area with one hand multiple times. Not to mention she had me hold my backside open (already my least favorite way of getting waxed because there’s too much loose skin) and then didn’t wax the area correctly. This is a beautiful location, the aesthetics are lovely but I don’t old highly recommend you look somewhere else for a wax if you are looking for quality over an instagramable location. It’s been less than 2 weeks on this trip out of the country and my legs are already covered in hair because there’s so much unwaxed areas. The fact that the wax rooms are so poorly lit must be intentional so you can’t see all the mistakes happening while you’re there. So sad to have had such a bad experience when the location is so nice but I will never be back here for wax and I would encourage anyone looking for a QUALITY wax that will actually remove hair from areas you’d like to visit another place. Never go to Milk and Honey for any waxing unless you’d like to walk out still half covered in hair and $200 poorer for a...
Read moreFacial 10/10. Front desk 4/10. My boyfriend and I went in to purchase me a gc for a LuxHYDRAFACIAL over the weekend. I showed the girl a screenshot of what I wanted and she said she can put it on a GC. She asked if he wanted to pay for gratuity on the GC. He said yes, 20%. She said great we have you down for the LuxHydrafacial on Tuesday at 10:15, I will go ahead and put the GC info on your account let me get your email. Well, they called the morning of to reschedule. I call back to reschedule and ask to maybe change to the LuxFacial since it was my first time and the girl said, well we have you down for the LuxHydrafacial so you can decide the day of. So I went in today and when checking out, the girl (different than who helped up on the weekend, and was very helpful) told me I owed money and the GC amount was for a LuxFacial. I am confused, mind you, they offered 20% off because they canceled my appointment the day of and I took time off work. So, me going in thinking I am being treated by my boyfriend to a facial, ends up paying out of pocket almost $60 for services that should have been originally charged. Also, they could not find the GC amount because the email was incorrect. The bottom line is, the girl who helped on Saturday did not have my email down correctly, so had I received the email with the GC amount and day of facial maybe I could have crossed reference beforehand. The front of the house is who the customer first sees and deals with and they need to be on it because that is the first part of the whole experience. I am not happy about having to pay out of pocket when in my mind, I am being treated to a self-care day. All that being said, I am indifferent about going back. My facial with Susie was fantastic and I loved every minute of it. The scheduling of an appointment as first-time customer was...
