This is my neighborhood nail salon so I use to enjoy the convenience but despite the fact that they offer valet services they grossly OVERcharge you on the service, have long wait times even when you have an appointment, argue with you about their poor work as if you're the not allowed to have an opinion and waste your time!
It was my birthday! The day of my birthday I go to the salon for my scheduled appointment with a picture of what I'd like designed on my nails I showed it to the reception so she could pair me with the right nail tech. They literally paired me with the WRONG nail tech; a man who does not work on gel fills. But he charged me $40 to remove the nail polish and on the little pad of paper called it a "manicure"! Their reply to their mistake, "oh we thought you had natural nails." Really? When he had to remove the acrylic off my nails?!!! That he didn't mind charging me for?! The audacity to treat me like I'm not intelligent. Then they moved me to another tech and I showed her the attached photo of the look and asked if she could paint my nails that way. She said "of course." She proceeds to paint my nails and it looked like I had dipped my fingers in thick ceramic paint! I hated it. I asked her if she was going to do an overlay to lighten the color and she said no it would ruin the look. She told me "just wait until I'm finished." Rude but maybe there was something I didn't know that would happen to make this what I asked for. I said to her that the picture showed the polish as pastels, the polish she was using was more pronounced and heavy. She ignored me. I was practically in tears! I hated her design "interpretation"! I said its my birthday, showed her my drivers license as proof and said this is not the look I asked for. She complained in a foreign language to the other techs, used an aggressive tone and did nothing to remedy my disappointment. Other techs came over and said "oh it looks like the picture." A heist! I went to check-out because I had a dinner to go to that I was about to be late for and said to the cashier/reception I was extremely unhappy and she says the cost will be $207! For a poorly performed nail set! I said I wanted to talk to the owner. I was told he wasn't there and she couldn't let me leave without paying because the tech's set their own prices. I was livid and I am still angered at such greed and poor customer service attention. I paid because the salon was holding my valeted SUV hostage! I couldn't get my car unless I paid the full overpriced cost! I left a message right then for the owner, I have never heard back despite a call to the salon as well.
I cannot in good conscience recommend them at all!! They may have gotten my money but I have decided this year to not argue with bad service but to share the experience by posting truthful reviews and allow the establishment to lose me as a customer. In my opinion, they shouldn't gain you as one! Save yourself the headache, time and money. Don't be fooled by the nice aesthetics of the establishment, cheap free wine and valet parking. Patronage elsewhere. I truly wish I had read the recent reviews. It appears I'm not alone in my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA couple of girls at my work get their nails done here, and they're always immaculate, so I made an appointment one Wednesday afternoon... I was coming from a weird job, and already smack dab in the middle of a looooonnng-ass day when I arrived. I was looking pretty dishevelled; man, these ladies looked at me like they had just seen me climb out of a dumpster and walk in their door! I forget the name of the girl who did my acrylic full set, she was young and pretty. I really do feel like my appearance that day influenced how I was treated. The girl is skilled at shaping nails just so, even when rushing through the job (something they do everywhere) but there was this rudeness and roughness in the way she spoke to me and handled my precious little paws. At the tail end of buffing & shaping , she got up, went and got a phone, and placed a personal call, which she remained on - shooting the breeze, gossiping, and making plans for later(in English!), through the remainder of my appointment. The nails still came out beautifully. For various reasons, I had to wait a whole month to get a fill, but I had absolutely zero lifting or breaking in that time! A full acrylic set with plain polish set me back forty dollars - $15-20 more than I'm used to paying. I left a decent tip ($5) even though the service was really bull. What can I say? I work for tips, so I can't bear to skip out on tips. Some kinda karma deal. The nails came out delicate, perfectly shaped, lasting. I would definitely go back here based on the quality of work, despite her attitude. The only reason I probably will not return is the price. There are plenty of spots closer to home that do an acceptable job and charge way less. I am a little curious though, about if I go back in looking rested and put together, if they'd treat me any more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never leave reviews but I feel so blind sided by the cost of their services which werenāt even good that felt like I had to tell others who are considering going here. I called ahead and asked how much it would be for a manicure and pedicure and after deciding to schedule an appointment, my total was double what they quoted me! The person who did my pedicure got polish all over my foot and instead of wiping it off with acetone, they scraped it off with a cuticle cutter and now I have cuts on my foot. I didnāt even see them clean the pedicure station I was at before putting someone else there. I asked for such a simple design on my fingers at the beginning and they said confidently they could do it but the tech took 45 minutes trying to figure it out, someone else came up and showed them how and they still couldnāt get it right. I donāt know why the person who knew how to do it wouldnāt just take their place if they werenāt busy. I was very patient with them while I was there and still left a generous tip, but at the end of the day I was at the salon for 2 1/2 hours and all I got was a bad gel mani/pedi on my natural nails. Not like I got acrylic or anything. The environment of the place is also off. Theyāre not that friendly to new people when you first walk in, only to their regular customers. Then they are fake nice the rest of the time, it just felt very off and uncomfortable. Also just an FYI that if you do choose to go here, they only take tip in cash. Iām really disappointed, I was looking forward to going here and thought Iād find a new regular salon since itās in my area but guess not. I wouldnāt be half as upset if it werenāt for their outrageous prices. Iām giving 2 stars because I donāt hate how my nails turned out, just...
