One word, EXPENSIVE!! First time customer, but never again! The shop was nice, clean, amd personal, but the area surrounding the shop was a bit in the cut, slightly rough. I originally booked an appointment for Polygel Extensions, which was around $70, but she kept insisting that Gel X ($80) was much better for my nails amd stronger than Polygel which will last for a longer period of time. So, instead of one hour of service, I received a rush job of about 45 minutes, with a total of $110 for this service. The work that she did on my nails is fantastic, even though the very tips of my nails are not painted (so they look rough), but I don't appreciate being swindled. She didn't even inform me/remind me of the $10 increase between what I was set on (Polygel) and Gel X, and there were no specifics about the cost of nail art on the booking site to say if it was $5 for a whole set, or $5 each finger. The bad part about it is that I couldn't refute anything because the work on my nails was already complete and well done at that, and she had another customer waiting that was after me, so I was rushed out because I would've been taking up the customer's time slot. šš She seemed nice, but never again will I go to this shop and or pay over $70/$80...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt brings me absolutely no joy to disparage a small business especially in the wake of COVID, but my appointment today was like something out of a movieā¦a horror movie:
First, my powder dip appointment starts 20 minutes late ā which is fine, life happens. However, when my manicurist finally begins, sheās unreasonably rough: my cuticles eventually start to bleed as she hacks at them. She cuts my (natural) nails down before asking what shape Iād like them to be. In general, sheās unapologetic and just plain rude.
THEN, the nightmare begins: the only other customer in the drab āsalonā swats away at something and says, āI think a COCKROACH was crawling on me.ā She stands and slowly turns to reveal the cockroach is crawling up her thigh. I run out of the store. She follows me, screaming. I shouldāve kept running but instead told the manicurist that I was all set and didnāt need the powder dip after all. She charged me twenty-five American dollars to soak off my previous powder dip, make me bleed, and waste my time.
I honestly probably would have let a lot of this go if sheād been even the least bit kind, alasā¦Iām pretty sure that roach received better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo whoever reads this: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AT ALL!! Christine, the lady nail is a scammer. She sent me the prices of how much itād be to get my nails done (which wouldāve been 40) and ended up paying 55 at the end. I thought, WHAT A DEAL! since i pay 15 extra where i usually go. It is absurd that I was mislead at the price, and at the poor shaping of my nails which i could do better at home, as well as the poor selection of nail colors she offers. After choosing the nail polish, she informed me when she was going to paint them that it was going to be $5 extra since nail polish isnāt included! HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION! For the price i was charged I was expecting something i wouldāve been satisfied with but instead to my disappointment I was extremely underwhelmed with her work at how dirty and old the place looks like. Do not come here and save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere else that does a great job! This is what happens to me when I choose not to wait for my usual tech and decide to get my nails done...
