This review is about my experience and great memories I had and people I met and became friends with about 15 years ago when I used to live in WeHo. Now, living in the Palm Springs area where every guy seems to be a bottom is frustrating, and my eyes are back on L.A.. Why?Because we have NO Mens Bathhouse Spa's were you can get a small room with a bed for privacy. Slammers opened up a stand up sex club but no private rooms, eh... and we have tons of gay motels that charge 200 to 350 bucks a night and they're empty or a couple of bottoms! I heard the big Hollywood Spa closed and that place was AMAZING ON A SATURDAY NIGHT! So sad to hear it closed. SUGGESTION TO OWNERS OF N H SPA, Flex, etc: PLEASE SERIOUSLY CONSIDER HUNTING FOR A LOCATION IN THE COACHELLA VALLEY AREA (P.S. AND CATH CITY) for a place you can convert into 20- 30 small rooms with beds with 3 channel adult videos and 8 hour entry fee and maybe have it approved on thursday, friday sat and sunday 24 hours. Why? It's badly needed here in the desert, every guy I talked to agrees we need an 8 hour mens spa with small private rooms! The problem you might have who might be against opening a spa here in the desert is the greedy queens who own the expensive motels, for fear of losing money to a desert bathhouse/spa. Maybe if the P.S. gay motels didn't charge a fortune for a room they might not be going out of business, like some already have. Indio, or maybe a place in CAth City industrial area would be a great location... better than some of the cannabis factories that city hall approved that are stinking the area so badly with the smell of weed, yuk! MEN NEED A BATHHOUSE SPA IN THE DESERT WITH PRIVATE SMALL 8 HOUR ROOMS. INVESTERS /OWNERS OF LA BATHHOUSES, PLEASE CONSIDER OPENING A PLACE IN P.S. AREA!!! YOU'D MAKE A FORTUNE! LAND IS STILL CHEAPER HERE THAN IN L.A.! IF I HAD THE MONEY I'D PARTNER WITH FLEX AND N HOLL SPA AND OPEN AN EXTENSION IN P.S. /CAT CITY! You would make a fortune! I might visit NH Spa this saturday, maybe Flex too, and see if the owners might be there to talk to. We need more tops in the desert and a bathhouse,...
Read moreBeen going quite regularly to this sauna and I have a few impressions to share:
Staff is great in general, and I understand when they are a bit standoff-ish or come across as rude; I've been to several saunas in different parts of the world and this is the norm, mostly because clients can get rowdy, there's a lot of people trying to get in with drugs or alcohol (PnP), or break stuff, and the place can be short-staffed at some points of the day (Like Thursday or Sunday afternoon, Friday and Saturday evenings) and they deal with clients that feel entitled to everything. Not everyone is like that, but I understand why you truly don't mess around with staff. Be polite, be understanding, and enjoy.
Clientele is pretty diverse, sometimes there are twinks, daddies, regular guys, and yes, older guys too. Get over it. It's random but I always found a way to keep it fun. The staff usually helps manage the crazies that appear from time to time, mostly people that can't follow basic rules.
But what I like the most about this sauna is it's personality (especially compared to the other sauna in LA). I think that the owner(s) truly loves this place; the posters at the entrance (that change every month or so), the design language used, the little signs everywhere. I want to mention specially the terrace, where I spend a lot of my time when I go. It's comfortable, full of plants, with misters for when it's too hot (and it's also the smoking area).
Does the place need some renovation? Sure, but from what I've seen in the saunas post-pandemic, they are still trying to recover from that. Go to FlexLA and see what I mean.
Here's a few unsolicited tips: BRING AN ID, not a photocopy, not a receipt. This is required
Behave! this is not the place to get high/drunk and not get consequences; they are serious about this, I think this can get them shut down.
Don't mess with the staff, remember they are the ones wiping your crusty fluids from the playing areas. Tip them on the way out if you can!
Bring flip-flops, or buy them when getting in. Trust me on this one.
Have a great...
Read moreI took a $25 uber ride to get to this place because i genuinely enjoyed it, however, halfway to the spa i realized i forgot my wallet. I was nervous, because i wasn't sure if they let me in, however, I had a photocopy of my ID and stayed hopeful. When i got to the place after being cut in front of by another patron, I simply told the guy that i forgot my wallet but i have a photocopy of my ID and before he would let me finish he interrupted me saying, “You cannot come in, Next!” Afterwards, he began to make fun of me and started talking in Spanish to the next patron, pointing fun at the fact I was upset about the way he handled it, and even after continued to make fun of me and laugh as i left the establishment. If i could rate this place a 0/5 stars I would, I used to come here a good bit and would occasionally run into a disgruntled employee, but this guy took joy in telling me no and had no remorse whatsoever while hr continued his bullying laugh with the patron after me. I would never come back to this place and would advocate for anyone else to not come here as well, i mean its already overpriced for what it is and where its located but to top it off with employees that treat customers like this? Unacceptable. I can accept that they didn't allow me in, but the way he interrupted me, treated me, and then continued laughing and belittling me was highly uncalled for and grossly unnecessary. Ill never come back to this piss poor overpriced...
