It's a great train track turned bike/walk path. I use it for rollerblading! Have some study wheels, some of the points where sidewalk meets sidewalk is a bit rough to go over. On a bike should be nothing. Everyone was pretty friendly and it was not overcrowded so you have space nearly the whole time.
If you take the path in one direction you will see the train tracks. If you take it in the other direction and keep going on the paved tar, you will end up on Noho.
