Overland Car Wash and Detail Center — Attraction in Los Angeles

This is the most disappointing experience I had today. Please do not go to this place. I sent my car for the OCW Special CAR wash(38++Dollars) which includes: Soft Cloth Wash, Sealer Wax, Rainbow Wax, Vacuum, Soft Cloth Hand Dry, Wheel & Rim Cleaning, Tire Dressing, Exterior Body Dressing, Under Body Wash, Air Freshener.

The manager went ahead to persuades me to get the $70 instead. I insisted to give it a first try. The wash turned out with 15-20 mins which is normally 45++ minutes. I was exhilarated, but when I drove off to discover my Metallic Blue Audi was done terribly at low quality or pure laziness:

Poorly dried leaving behind streaks of undried leak marks, it looks so obvious on a dark colored car, Unvacuumed or very minimal effort poorly done: first thing I discovered the passenger area still has all the debris from pre-wash all over the floor and floor mat, the trunk was never vacuumed, the back seat had shoe marks leaving a pair of shoes from the floor mat onto the backseat. Under body was never washed, I looked down under the chasis to find the same muddy stain from prewash from both sides of the front doors. It did not look waxed at all, there are still many watered stained marks, if the car was dried nicely then waxed applied would never leave any stains of undried leak marks.

In conclusion, I came home to re-dry the car myself with a proper dry rub. I also had to vacuum the whole car and finally did my own waxing. This turned out to be the worst car detailing day when I paid about $40 for myself to redo everything again except the washing. I do not recommend anyone to go there. This is the most dishonest place ever! The turnaround was under 20 minus a lazy trickery to find out later you'll need to repeat some of the processes yourself after paying for services. I was promised a free credited next round but I think it would only be fair to issue a full refund and provide a free credit next round for all the effort I have to put in myself and pay for it. Pure disappointment! I will continue to be vigilante to put this poor review on every social media site I could...

I just went on a two week road trip where I got my car nice and dirty. So when I got back I looked around and decided to get a nice 170 special summer detail from my local car wash. I have only been to them once before for a simple car wash and it was ok, nothing great. But I truly like to support local businesses, and it looked like a fairly good deal. When I pulled up and asked for this deal the guy said its not a full 100% detail and when I asked about it he said like they would pull out the mats and clean them but not shampoo (even though that the add says mats shampooed). Except the full detail was on sale for $400, over double what I came in for. Now knowing there are literally services that come to your house for a full detail for 220, there is no way I was going to agree to that. I decided to trust them for a $170, spoiler BIG MISTAKE! You can see just a few of the things I mean. The trunk, they barely touched. There is dirt covering the mechanisms, when I asked the "boss" about it he said that is not part of the cleaning. When I showed him a huge thing of crumbs on the passenger seat. He just walked away saying that if there are crumbs someone will wipe them off. So much for management or customer satisfaction. I literally walked around with my hand cleaning up little spots all over. When I got home I took my own rag and wiped parts down for another 20 minutes. I’ve lived in this area for about 5 years now. I always have my car detailed at work by a mobile car washer. I pass by this place every day to and from work and they’re always busy. Always said to myself to try em out just because the fact that they’re always busy.

I was in a tight parking structure the other day and scraped the side of my passenger door on one of those posts, long red/white paint scrape on my new black BMW:(( I searched on google and my neighborhood car wash that I’ve never visited came up with super reviews (hence they’re always busy). I got quoted $80 for a good wash and the scrape to be buffed and waxed. 45 minutes later and the scrape with paint was gone, 100% gone! Puhhhh! No paint job needed!

They’re fairly priced, actually a few bucks less than what I pay for regular services at work. They’re friendly and professional. Chatted with other customers waiting for their cars, some saying they’ve been coming to this place for years and love it.

That goes to show how well this place is managed and how much the neighbors love this place.

I’d go to this wash on weekly basis if it wasn’t for the convenience getting my car washed while being at work. Will definitely keep this place in mind for cases like I just had with the post.
