Southern Guild Gallery in LA is hands down one of my favorite spots. I try to make it to every exhibition opening because it’s always such a special experience. The vibe there is amazing, and the staff is super welcoming—they genuinely care about the art and the artists. They always take the time to walk you through the space, share cool insights, and explain the stories behind the pieces. It really makes you feel like you're connecting with the art on a deeper level.
What really makes this gallery stand out, though, is how they highlight incredible artists from the African continent. Every show is fresh, dynamic, and unlike anything else in LA. The work is thought-provoking, often challenging, and always inspiring. Southern Guild has consistently brought some of the most exciting, unique exhibitions I’ve seen around here. Like literally they were tucked away in a back office. I don’t see how anyone doesn’t just run in and pull off some art and jet without anyone catching them in time.
