Picnic Hollywood — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This is not a review for a particular restaurant but for Melrose Food Co in general. It's understandable that this is a ghost kitchen that has a lot of kitchens and delivery systems to manage but as someone who has worked their whole life in food service; the staff here are either poorly trained or understaffed so they cannot perform their duties properly. There are long waits or times you are totally ignored at the window. Which the window should have a staff member at all times. Get a radio system for kitchens so they can communicate with front of the house without an issue. There are great restaurants working out of the back of the house, unfortunately front of the house is not holding down the fort. Yes, there's a lot to do but with proper training, ample staff members, and organization; it can be done. Management needs to make some changes and incentivized...

I saw the great review on yelp and decided to give it a try. The place is on the main street and it's very hard to find a place to park, and the restaurant is basically a locker room with no seating, just a way for people to order on the machine and pick up food from the locker. However, after placing the order, one of the employee kindly check on a few of us waiting and get the food out to us very quickly, which is much shorter than the expected wait time. And the food is delicious... the vegetable sides were cooked perfectly with lots of favor, the cheese grit wad one of the best I have tasted. The corn bread are buttery, and the oxtail yummy,, savory and tender. I definitely plan to come back again, as long as I can find a parking...

I had a great experience at the restaurant with multiple food options under one roof. Having a variety of cuisines in one place can definitely be convenient and enjoyable for families and friends with different preferences. the food was delicious and the service fast. The lockers also seem to be a unique feature that you appreciate. Regarding parking, it's understandable that it might be a bit inconvenient. However, it's a deal breaker and you be willing to walk a little further to enjoy the food.
