I'm not even sure I know what to say in this review. My crew and I did Project Minotaur this morning and it was absolutely incredible and unlike anything we've ever done before. Our gamemaster/actor Zach and game actor Lo were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Like others have noted this is much much more than an escape room - Zach told us at the beginning that their goal is to make us feel like we are in a horror film for 90 minutes and man did they deliver. We had a group of 4 and one had to tap out after 10 minutes, but the rest of us made it through the whole thing!
I HIGHLY recommend you listen to the companies instructions re: comfy clothes and CLOSED TOE SHOES. I only packed sandals (we were visiting LA from out of town) and my toes definitely took a beating in the room, lol. On that note - I am definitely coming home with some scrapes and bruises, but nothing more than if I were to say, play a pickup game of basketball, or being jostled around in a concert crowd. The scrapes/bruises are from running through a maze in the dark, not anyone putting their hands on you, FYI. Others in my group are less clumsy than I and don't appear to have any of the same issues as me :P
One thing worth noting:
I was a little worried going in about the physicality of the room, as well as fitting into the provided jumpsuits, as a plus sized person. For reference I am 300+ lbs and women's size 24 pants and I am happy to report that I was able to complete the whole experienxe, and they had jumpsuits big enough for me :)
We are 1000% going to come back for more Thrill Theater at Quest the next time...
Read moreThese guys have some absolutely amazing rooms. We drove up there from San Diego to do a new room with our friends and we were not disappointed. First off, their waiting room is super nice; they even have themed lockers for each group so you can stash your stuff. Secondly, the details/designs, props, and special effects were fantastic. You really can tell how much time and love went into designing the rooms. The Red Giant room was an absolute blast, from mummies to nefarious traps; it is hands down my favorite room they have. They also have some great thriller/horror rooms as well. We ended up doing Cannibal’s Den as well, and it was a lot of fun, but definitely nerve wracking. Seriously, that room truly looked like the lair of a madman and the puzzles you have to solve fit perfectly into the scenario of the room. They are worked really well into it and don’t break the immersion. And I haven’t even started yet on the staff. KYLE IS THE BEST. They added even more to the experience, and was just everything we could have ever asked for in a game host. So yes, I HIGHLY recommend these guys. We’ll definitely be going back again...
Read moreI'm such a fan of QuestRoom escape rooms. Me and my partner have been to all the locations except for 1 and we will be going on Monday to do Malediction! We just did "Perfumer" at this location and our Game Master Chris was exceptionally funny and great! Last time we had Ryan for "Red Giant" and he was fantastic as well! Both rooms have superb puzzles, gives you a challenge and the rooms are immersive! The technology, design and uniqueness of the rooms are unmatched! Notice I said "rooms" because you are not just stuck in 1 room. Quest Room does it the best when it comes to escape rooms. We have done Kablam & Warlocked (Twice each!!), Polar Station and Amnesia (on top of the 2 I just mentioned). QUEST ROOM WE ARE OBSESSED! So far my top 2 are Warlocked (family friendly) and Perfumer! But honestly, they are all so dang good!!! I love how the game masters get into character and do such good acting! I amhappy to hear they are having new additions coming soon & can't wait to do those as well! We haven't done any of the Level 3 Thrillers yet but maybe we will start with Bloody...
