I worked with Abbie for a recent self tape coaching, and I was truly blown away by the amount of professionalism and expertise she shared during my time with her. This was my first time hiring a coach for an audition as it was a larger project, and it definitely the first time doing a remote coaching over Zoom! Even though we weren’t face to face, I felt so completely comfortable and confident as we talked that it felt like we were in the room working together.

I left our meeting feeling more confident in my work than I ever have before, and I really mean that!

Abbie helped me dissect the material from an entirely different perspective than I had gotten used to, and it gave me an unique advantage as I prepared the pages and pages of dialogue. It was such a remarkable feeling! 😊 I loved my experience with AFA so much that I ended up hiring Abbie to coach me through the self tape audition itself. She was mindful of my time and monetary investment, and made sure that all of my questions were answered as we made the most of our time slot. She made sure we got the absolute best take for each scene, and even took the time to help me choose between takes when I couldn’t decide on a final choice!

AFA Studio is the absolute best!! I was first introduced to AFA Studio by my agent and not only was I excited to receive a discount (for first timers) but I was also happy to learn that it as literally 15 minutes from my house! How convenient! My first ever coaching session was with Ryan and he was awesome! His energy matched the energy I needed to nail the audition! A few weeks later I was blessed with two more series regular auditions and had Anna Grace as a coach and Abbie who were both INCREDIBLE!!! As one can imagine, I was both extremely excited for the auditions but also nervous about whether or not I could execute what was being asked of me but boy oh boy, Anna Grace and Abbie not only calmed my nerves but they also boosted my confidence which showed on the tape! Needless to say, I will forever be thankful for them! :D

The AFA studio was one of my first acting classes in LA or in that fact pretty much ever! I immediately fell in love and felt right at home, it also helped that Chelsea is from a part of Texas where my family lives! Okay back to the class, I love it because for a beginner they really broke everything down for me and a way I would understand the technicalities of on screen acting. I loved the fact that everyone in the class were on different levels, which gave me the opportunity to watch and grow for others in the class, they also helped me form a sense of who I am, I.e my type and what kind of roles that are in my wheel house, which is super helpful! Another big plus is they shoot reel footage which is so important for actors if you don't have any footage to put on your casting profiles for casting directors to see or looking for representation!
