Tranquility Body Spa — Attraction in Los Angeles

[2023 update] Guys - even after 2 years this place is still amazing. My husband and I did a quick trip to LA this month and even though we were only in town for 1 night we made a point to visit Tranquility. Tina and Tisha still work there - they are my favorite masseuses!

I am so glad I decided to come here after reading the Google reviews. Initially I got a massage for my husband’s birthday, and he had such a great experience we decided to buy a pack of 10 (you get the 11th hour/apt free). It has been AMAZING for each of us to go each week for an hour. Usually we get the Swedish/Thai combo.

All of the ladies so far have been extremely professional and attentive, and they are great about checking in to make sure the pressure is ok. This will be our fifth weekend back in a row! The place is relatively quiet although you will hear a bit of noise when newcomers enter for their appointments, but for the most part the other patrons are also respectful and don’t talk loudly. The rooms are simple and small, with a place to hang your stuff. And it is evident that they take cleanliness seriously- always clean sheets and towels, and you can hear them changing all linens and spraying down the room once someone leaves. Plus, when you let them know where you park at the meter they go out and drop in a coin at the hour mark to make sure your car doesn’t get towed!! All in all, a wonderful gem in...

I got the combo massage for an hour. It was great. I really needed some deep tissue work and I got it. My only gripe is the suggested tip signage at the front desk. They suggest more than a third of the price of the service. I don’t think that is reasonable. I felt very pressured with the sign there. Although, I was pleased with my massage, I think a tip that is nearly half of the price is a reach. On top of the sign right in your face. The tip should really be at the client discretion and should not be expected. I didn’t ask for any extras and I don’t feel that I got anything extra from the service. I hope they keep the quality and demeanor exactly the same for all paying customers whether they tip more/less than what they are obviously expecting. Awe man I get lots of massages and for years I avoided Thai massage after a kinda sub par experience. I just had a deep tissue/Thai massage hear and it was on point. I have a lot of pain in my hips and low back and most masseuse are too timid to dig in there (there being my gluteus maximums) My masseuse used a combination of stretching and massage that made such a difference. Now mind you they will get in there and dig away so if your a bit shy get over it. They give discounts for cash and also mid week early bird discount as well. Very nice people, the parlor is a little more casual/family atmosphere so maybe do go hear of your looking for the fancy day spa feel but for solid massage...
