I thought I had told you about this b4 but I love this park I used to walk dogs in this park and teach children things about dogs in the park and it's just generally pleasant it has a nice track for those that would like to run a little bit of track of a little running a little walking their shady areas they have a lovely children's area there which is mostly shaded they have a swimming pool on site and dressing rooms inside they have tennis courts you can rent and yet it's not the biggest park in the world but they have really made great use of the space including an outdoor gym. If you haven't checked it out I suggest going there sometime bring a nice blanket bring your dog on a leash and hang out for a while and watch people go by but make sure you leash your dog. This particular areas not a homeless site but just a few blocks away North and South East and West there are 10 cities of homeless and you see them with dogs and those are from dogs that have run away they're not gonna go into his shelter and adopt a dog... About the park though I just love the energy there...
Read moreLarge park, lots of people and activity. The fields are very active now that outdoor sports are allowed. There are people who come and mingle their dogs by the Senior Center area. There is usually parking by the Senior Center parking lot, which is next to La Fogata and also open and has outdoor seating.
There is a large dirt track to walk around, with basketball and tennis courts. The baseball diamonds are usually full but sometimes you can find one open and 2 or 3 people just practicing on it. There is also an outdoor gym area. There is also an indoor basketball gym and swimming pool but I think both are closed right now. Also the only bathrooms that are open are way on the other side of the park near the childrens playground.
The only reason I give it 4 stars is because there are a lot of dark and sketchy areas of the park once it gets dark. And some parking lots get...
Read moreI think it’s a great spot where everyone can enjoy various sports. They could’ve spent some time clearing up the walkways and runways, which were still full of dirt. The entryways from the parking lot are puddled. It takes a few minutes of shoveling out some of the mud and puddles of standing water to make it easy to get through, especially for the seniors. I only bring this up because there was no more rain in the forecast. Sink in men’s bathroom that I visited didn’t work so I had walk over to the restroom by the main office to wash my hands. Great artificial turf on the...
