Absurdly over booked, and insanely high in price for 20 minutes of walk through. The line is stupidly long with a ridiculous waiting period. We were in line from 630-9pm to be rushed through like cattle for the entire pumpkin lineup due to the insane amount of people. My kids couldn't even enjoy it because of the crowd, and we were lucky to see any of the pumpkins because adults wanted to stand Infront of every pumpkin not allowing others or children to view. The entire walk through for the pumpkins was maybe 20 minutes. And I was hounded over a water bottle for my toddler just so they can push vendor sales prior to actually entering the pumpkin viewing, which mind you, I don't know who the hell needs a beer for 20 minutes of walking, but regardless it's insane considering how expensive the tickets already are. I would never recommend this event to anyone, it was an overall terrible experience with little to almost no payoff. Especially avoid if you have children, adults that attend won't let them see anything. Btw, I had a 730 ticket enter, we didn't get through til 9, and was out by 920, in the car and gone by 930. We arrived at...
Read moreThis was our third time and probably last. Every time we have been the trail is overly packed which makes it unbearable to enjoy when you're shoulder to shoulder. You aren't able to view all of the pumpkins when there are tons of people crowded around it not moving. We went on a weekday hoping to avoid this but it was the same as going on the weekend. There's absolutely no point in the "scheduled time" lines because they all enter basically at the same time. No organization of this event what so ever. I picked the "7:30" time for our tickets and we entered at around 7:15 when they were still allowing people with 6:30 tickets to go in. When we were leaving at 8p from our "7:30" time slot entrance there were still people entering for the "7:30" slot. It just does not make any sense at all if you are going to allow people to enter at the same time and at any time, even if late, no matter the time slot bought. Figure out a better way to keep the trail moving and not so crammed, maybe we would come again. Until then it's a one and done...
Read moreMy wife Suzie Sea and I go to this show every year. It's always amazing and very much worth checking out. They have new art subjects all the time. I saw a weird one last year. Every 20 pumpkins or so there was an electric can opener laying down. Whenever I would try to show the group we were with the can opener it would have disappeared. They would say, "Nick... Dude there is no can opener there" and "man, quit screaming like an 8 year old girl!" and I would cry and have Suzie hold me. Then this girl walked up to me and said, "thank you for finding my can opener." And I screamed again and she disappeared. That's when one member of the staff told me that a girl died 247 years ago from a horrible electric can opener accident. Her family that invented canned fish flippers never found the girl's can opener and starved to death where I was standing! So, I either saw a ghost or I'm making the whole thing up to sound cool. You be the judge. But go look at those jack-o'-lanterns in the park. They're badass. Nick Sea gives 5...
