Antique Mall of Lowell — Attraction in Lowell

This place looks NOTHING like their pictures on here or on their website. We knew it was going to be overpriced, but we figured we would check it out anyway. We were looking for an antique desk.

Not only is nothing organized or set up so that you can look at it. The amount of dust on the items was unreal. People had written in the dust and you could tell that it had been there for quite a while because even the writing was beginning to collect dust!

The further you went into the store the more you could smell the mold in the building and it was getting harder to breathe. After just 20 minutes in the store, we were wheezing.

I have no idea who would give this place enough stars to have a 4.6 average rating.

I visited this thrift store for the first time, hoping to support a local business and explore their selection. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by an unexpected and uncomfortable interaction. I was accused by the owner or manager of damaging an item in the store. They claimed to have video evidence but were unwilling or unable to share it with me.

I understand that accidents can happen and that store owners must protect their inventory, but I found the approach to be accusatory and lacking in transparency. As a first-time customer, I felt unfairly treated and deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism in how the situation was handled.

I love going to this store, a huge amount of stuff of every kind you can think of. I have found the staff to be helpful and talk to them by name. I just read a negative review but I'm surprised. Well, you'll have to come have your own experience. I am very happy there and often think, "Oh, it's Tuesday, they're not open, I have to wait till Thursday." I antique for the experience and the "adventure" and there's lots of adventure in this store. I know I'll be checking in there...
