Hands down no doubt this movie theater has been my number one pick since I discovered them three years ago. After what happened this pass Saturday 7/12/25. It started out with four of us wanting to go to the movies to see Superman.. My grown son didn’t want to go in and decided he was going to sit in the car. It was great that he didn’t want to go in bc my youngest grandson (3) started crying bc he didn’t want to see the movie Superman…smh, so I had the other person that was with us take him out to the car, while my eldest grandson waited for their return. We retrieve our items we purchased and then proceeded to walk into the movie. I needed some assistance due to the condition I’m currently in, we seat and ate the popcorn, drink our drink and ate candy… lol all of this while watching a million and one advertisements and movie premier. Once my grand finished and the movie started I looked over and he was knocked out. Snoring like he just got off from work. No lie, I dozed off too… lol. I woke him up and told him let’s go. He really tried to convince me otherwise. We got back in the hall and the guy that helped us, he asked if we wanted a refill, I said yes please and then I asked for a refund for the movie. From the look on his face he never had that happened before, so he called his manager over Jalen is what I think his name is. He wanted me to explain to him what happened and I did and he was so understanding and very professional. He asked what could he do to make it up to me? I told him nothing I was ok, but thanks. He said your refund will be back on your card in a few days and for what it’s worth, I’m gonna give you two tickets to go to any Regal but I would like for you to join us again. I already knew I was gonna have a great day from the time God had woken me up. Jalen just added icing to it. Jalen need some gold stars!!! Definitely need more professional ppl in the field of loving...

Chrisie, the general manager, is truly exceptional. She ensures the theater is always friendly and spotlessly clean. Each time you step foot inside, you are greeted with smiles and infectious energy from the staff.
Movie showings are always readily available, and there is always someone at the front door ready to assist you. If the lines start to back up, the managers are quick to jump in and help out at the register. Other staff members even move to take card payments elsewhere to keep the lines moving smoothly.
Contrast this with my recent experience at Regal Manchester in Rock Hill, which left much to be desired. The facility felt low-grade and dirty, with atrocious customer service. Staff members goofed off in the back, managers were unhelpful, and the whole place looked like a mess. It was a stark contrast to the professionalism and warmth at Regal Cinemas in Gastonia.
At Gastonia, if there are any issues like a glitchy screen or stale popcorn, the staff goes above and beyond to fix it for you. Chrisie and Geranda make an exceptional team - they complement each other perfectly, are incredibly kind, and go out of their way to ensure a positive experience for every guest.
The entire staff at Gastonia is consistently kind and courteous, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms, theaters, and countertops is always top-notch. While they may lack fancy recliners, the exceptional customer service at Regal Cinemas in Gastonia more than makes up for it. Here, you're not just a customer but part of the family.
For a stellar movie-watching experience with top-notch customer service, look no further than Chrisie and Geranda at Regal...
Read moreOn Sunday June 25, I went with my nephew and my sister to see Captain Underpants. It was a 3:15 showing, we sat in the first 2 rows so as to not bother anyone, well it seems that as my nephew had a small and quick meltdown, that lasted all of 5 minutes and a patron reported him and my sister to the attendant. Now, instead of the young attendant coming over, asking if there was a problem, addressing that someone had reported my nephew. He walked by 4 times, huffing and puffing, staring at us until it then became uncomfortable to watch the movie. My sister walked up to him, asked him why he was staring at her and if there was a problem? He said that there was a patron that complained about my nephew and that she would have to leave. She then explained to him that her son was special needs and before she could finish her sentence the manager walked up, interrupted her and stated that the attendant was doing the right thing and that it didn't matter if he was special needs, they had to make sure everyone else was comfortable and was told to leave. Never have I seen such discrimination towards a special needs child before. Not to mention the day before at the Arsley theater, the staff was amazing and accommodating. This ordeal was embarrassing and heartbreaking as well that my nephew was not allowed to go to his local theater to watch a children movie because of a condition that he was born with. I told my sister to stay since she had paid her money just like everyone else but after the manager made her feel like her son didn't matter she chose not to fight that battle. I will never return to...
