Taffeta in Lowell is an incredible music venue! Matt and Sean are awesome and so easy to work with. They accommodated early arrival, let me decorate a bit, and provided a top-tier green room with a full bathroom and shower, kitchenette with sink and mini fridge, and even a neon sign for backstage photos. Other artists in my show were very impressed by the venue, its aesthetic, and overall environment.
The venue has full lights and sound, and our tech (wish I remembered his name!) was spot on. My only direction was to “go crazy” during my set. The backlit projector screen worked perfectly for all our visuals, with no shadows or interference. Backstage is very spacious, and they even set up an extra curtain for costume changes.
We were able to create signature cocktails in advance that matched the show’s theme, and all the guests loved the bartender. Ticket sales were smooth and easy—they provided weekly sales updates when requested and allowed tiered ticketing with VIP early access, price increases closer to the show, and at-the-door tickets.
We will definitely be returning for our next event. Taffeta is hands down the go-to event...
Read moreThis was my second time within a year to see 2 different performers with my daughter. Both experiences were great! The decor and ambience were perfect! The set up of the venue made the acoustics perfect wherever you stood. The staff and bartenders were well trained and very approachable if needed. The barstaff especially needs a shout out for remembering a "event special" non alcoholic drink they made for her during our 1st show to see Sammy Rash. 9 months later while seeing The Astronomers the bartender remembered and made perfectly. We drank 10 of them!!! The owner also was present at both shows and even spoke with us just see if we had everything and to ensure we were having a good time. I have been to many arena concerts as well as clubs of all sizes across several states over last 25 years...Taffeta is at the very top of my favorites list and we will certainly be...
Read moreLiked the venue for music. I went to see PAKT show which had a wide range of loud and quiet music. The problem for me was the AC system sucks and was blowing cold air very hard on my seat so bad I had to move from the middle way to the side to an available seat. Further, when the music was quiet all you could hear was the AC system blowing. I guess they had their cousin Joey put it in for nothing because it is poorly designed and implemented. You get what you pay for.
Also - not happy to pay $8 for a 12 oz can of corporate beer (Sam Adams in this case). I don't mind paying for beer but come on people - I assume you are a locally owned business - why aren't you supporting locally owned breweries by selling their beer there? Just seems lazy to me. Many, many local places make a point of supporting other local businesses. You...
