I was nervous about visiting the Lowell Justice Center to visit the Probate and Family Court North that services numerous towns north of Boston including my own of Reading. After parking some distance away at the RMV lot, I was impressed by the beautiful building and friendly staff at the security checkpoint who helped me through the metal detectors and to the elevators to the 5th floor to submit my paperwork. The Family Court employees were quick to assist me to fill out the forms and made my visit quick and surprisingly easy. On the one hand, I hope I have few reasons to visit the courthouse in the future, but I know that if I need to it will be a great experience and I can expect all the friendly people working in Lowell to help me with my legal needs...

The cutting-edge facility is being constructed for the Superior, District, Probate & Family, Juvenile, and Housing Courts of Middlesex County. Read moreMay you never get Judge Theresa A. Bisenius; extremely biased and emotional judge if you're colored. Couldn't get a word in because of her power trip. She kept raising her voice to say she was 'tired' and didn't ask a single relevant question. She knows her way around words (I was able to sit through a separate hearing). I think it would be in the best interest of Lowell to appoint a more compassionate judge for all races, especially with Lowell having a known Cambodian populous. Don't go here (if you can help it) if you're a minority. There's definitely preferential treatment to white people. Try to get your case seen with anyone else.
