I am sharing my experience on this at union deposit location.i am, mind you 45 plus in age so in past someone there has assisted me there was no customers in line one associate there ( didn't see name ) so associate it is. In came another age plus couple of Asian decent( I'm only saying due to maybe a language barrier) however I as a customer understood well and could see they were lost and confused the associate said several times as pointing to instructions on how to do what they asked..so I jumped in to help them as associate sat at computer even as I approached counter was giving same answer however I am a tad more aggressive and I waited til associate got up and came to counter, here's the problem I have with all this this associate has poor awareness of customer service..if you are in public customer service then that's your focus to assist people to learn to read body language and know what to and when not just to dismiss people and point them away especially with everything so tech savvy so I'm hoping this doesn't fall on deaf ears, and this can be corrected if associate has no desire to help customers then may I suggest another line of work,.. and printing faxing could used a tidy up moment, like a vacuum, see this how it happens one poor experience makes one notice a whole lot more.please do...
Read moreIf I had a printer at home I would never visit this store. I'm disabled but I walk. My short visits to this location are aggravating to my physical health because they have, in the last few years, installed shelves of impulse buys as a serpentine to the exit. I come only to print. But now I have to walk far out of my way to leave after visiting the print center.
Also staples now relies on you reading instructions on using their equipment and essentially refuse to print your items themselves unless your printing in bulk. On top of that... I spent less than a dollar but they put a temp hold of $5 on my card. What if I only had a $1? I'm literally printing off documentation for various welfare agencies that don't take digital documents, but staples expects me to always have $5. On top of that the print from email interface is not at all streamlined or intuitive. I had to input the access code each time I was printing a different document from the same email. I'd have asked for help if I thought the girl at the counter would have.
I only print items every 6mos or so and have no real reason to have my own printer. But the lack of customer service and disregard for disabled individuals (lengthy serpentine with no option to get to an exit otherwise) is encouraging me to rethink...
Read moreThis is my new favorite office store in the Harrisburg area. I used to love Office Depot/Max but recently Staples has totally exceeded my expectations on multiple occasions. Cynthia from the print area was super customer service oriented and really went out of her way to make sure my print job was done correctly. On another occasion, Jason went out of his way to help me, said he would call me for follow up and sure enough he did. I use them for shipping too and they are very helpful with that as well. Although I will say, I had a large envelope returned to me one time by USPS for insufficient postage which was a little disturbing since they were fingerprints being mailed for a school related background check. Yikes- but these things happen. I never did call the store to let them know because I've just been too busy and it was only a quick trip to the post office to get it sorted out. But in any case, the folks at this Staples mean well and try very hard to keep their...
