I called ReStore to have them pick up a used leather chair and couch as they claim to take gently used furniture. Because of COVID-19 they required that I move the furniture to my porchj though inconvenient, I understood. When they arrived to pick up the furniture they began to take pictures of the furniture and then proceeded to leave without a single explanation either by voice or telephone (they had my number). Tried donating a great couch only to find out that it “it was too damaged”, it was a well-used couch with no stains & had a few threads pulls here & there but all in all nothing 5 minutes and a pair of scissors could not have fixed. We have donated heavily to the organization over the years but apparently their standards have gone up considerably. Thankfully, the people at Goodwill were thrilled to get the donation, it is a little more inconvenient but well worth it to...
